We were in from out of town and had a car emergency right before a special event and as the store was closing. Langston saw our distress and immediately got us the help we needed despite it being late. He was so incredibly generous, kind, and helpful. Absolute lifesaver!!

Man I had rough day …stuck in Summerville… truck wouldn’t crank.. had to get a new battery but forgot the old battery… told Langston what was going on and he knew right away everything I needed…. That guy is like a car encyclopedia… to have a guy like that working in your store that knows his stuff makes your Auto Zone a 5star one… whoever the manager is please pay him whatever you can to keep him… best store experience I’ve had in a while not to mention I’ve been here 5 times today… Langston for president 2024

I went to this auto zone on Main St. around 6 ish because I was experiencing car issues. I came in and explained my issues about my car yesterday (04/20/24); I spoke to Langston which is the manager within the store.. His response was for me was to “wait a minute” because he had to handle his manager duties. I stood at the counter for 10-15 minutes waiting; however, I couldn’t even keep my car running because it would stall out and shut off. Keep in mind, I had my 1 year old child and close friends in the car. As I was waiting, another woman came in requesting for someone to check her car about her battery. She was promptly answered by another employee there. The other employee, didn’t get his name.. watched me wait and wait and never asked if I needed help only to help another woman that pulled in 15-20 minutes after me. I was bewildered by the transaction to help another woman that came in when I was clearly waiting to be helped. I didn’t appreciate having to wait knowing my baby and friends would be waiting in the heat. I was definitely not satisfied by my experience and don’t plan on returning for any of my car needs or issue. 0/10 I would not recommend because I didn’t get the customer service needed and I felt as though my car issue was not addressed in a timely manner. My only request moving forward is to hire employees that actually provide a friendly customer service and can address the issue in a timely manner. The company itself isn’t the issue, I just happened to have a bad experience that turned me away.

Spent $250 in one day over multiple trips to the store getting what I needed. Got an intake gasket and had to return it because it was incorrect. Guy refused to take it even though I just bought it thirty minutes earlier because it was open. Well, how am I supposed to know it's wrong if I don't open the box?? There aren't pictures of what the part looks like on the outside. He stated he couldn't take it back because he couldn't verify that all the parts were there. However, in fact he could have, as they are listed on the box as well as quantity. You could tell all the parts were brand new. I mentioned that I work in automotive and we order thousands of dollars of parts in Mount Pleasant and they take them back all the time. His response was, "Well, I'm not Mt. Pleasant.' No, you aren't and thank goodness because I'd hate to deal with such a jerk every day! Advance Auto gets all my business in Summerville now.

I had battery issues and came here just before close. Langston was a HUGE help. He had a great attitude and helped diagnose the problem and replace my battery in no time. I am so thankful for his willingness to take care of my car and get us back on the road! Thanks, Langston!
