The service was very good, the weight was very short, the food was very good. Do you have an awesome view of the lake while you’re dining. Great place to visit.

The food was fantastic and creative. The lake view at sunset was amazing. The waitstaff was cheerful and attentive to detail. As recommended, we both had the catfish, that was caught fresh from the lake. We savored our side dishes and indulged in the locally made Banana Pudding Cake! Went away stuffed and happy. Also, the bartender made perfect martinis. Bravo!

From the crowded parking lot and entry, we almost passed on dining here fearing it would be too busy. We were traveling through and the Lake House was listed as being dog friendly. We're glad we didn't give up. We were seated quickly in the back deck, overlooking Lake Marion and the pool from the RV resort next door. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good and delivered relatively quickly.

We got there at the right time as the place was getting busy. The server was very nice and patient as it was our first visit. The food arrived on time and was very good. My only concerns were you have to drive down a very pot holey dirt road to get there and if your a cat lover you'll really like the place. There were cats in the front and cats in the rear getting on the outside dining tables. The food was worth going back for but I guess we're just not cat people when it comes to dining.

Outstanding restaurant that's worth finding down the dirt road. Soups, salad, burgers, and hand cut fries were outstanding. Server Venus was attentive and personable. Everyone seemed upbeat which is rare today. Even the bus boy was doing a outstanding job cleaning tables. Before you eat check out the desserts in the waiting area.

We loved The Lake House! From the beautiful sunset to the amazing seafood, we were delighted. The banana pudding cake was to die for, and our fabulous server Diana was the best!!! We will be back!

#1 TIP - MAKE A RESERVATION! We arrived without a reservation and waited, and we’re so glad we did as the food and service is all awesome but it wasn’t until we spoke to the hostess that we learned reservations make it much easier on the staff - we know for next time and are sharing this tip. Saturday night prime rib special was what we ordered, it was delivered as requested, medium and it was very, very good. Our sides of collards, baked beans and garlic mashed were all very good but the sweet potato fries with special cinnamon dipping sauce were excellent! Save some room for dessert. Venus, our awesome, friendly and ever attentive server, suggested the banana pudding cake - it is off the charts great! Our entire dinner experience was really great and we feel it was well worth the money. We will definitely be back when we find ourselves in this area!

3rd trip to the restaurant this past week. First 2 were overall pretty good, 3rd was a horrendous experience. Food for 7 of us came out over a 60 minute period and first people served were completely done when final dishes were brought out. Kept being told its being plated and will be out shortly. Not sure what the issue was but just fess up and be honest. As a courtesy they discounted 5%(!) From the last 3 meals which came to a discount of between $1 and $3. Seriously, why even bother? Kicker was the manager didn't even have the courtesy to come over to apologize. Several other tables around us sat down, ate, and left during the time we were waiting for food so there was a decent crowd but noone else seemed to be impacted like we were. Overall, food is good, and as I said, the first 2 times we went, the service was good but this was just over the top poor service.

My wife and I recently returned from a vacation in South Carolina and one of the best meals we had on our trip was a dinner we had here at the Lake House. We both ordered the catfish which we were told is what they are know for, and we were not dissappointed. Be sure to order the collard greens, I can't stop thinking about them. You can thank me later.

If you are ever in the Summerton, SC area I can highly recommend The Lake House. The hostess at the door and the servers are all friendly and helpful. The restaurant setting and view of the lake, particularly at sunset, all add to a very nice ambiance. Much of their menu is locally sourced. My wife and I had the catfish. It was excellent. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and served hot and at a reasonable price. The next time I travel through this local it will be a definite stop for us.

The owners & their friends are some of the kindest, most fun people I’ve ever met! I’ve been a few times, and they have always been the most hospitable. After getting a round of karaoke going, I was hooked. My only complaint is the slippery ramp on the front porch- but that’s avoidable! Lovely place with great views of the water. FABULOUS place to take naps as well. Great drinks, great food, great people. Unbeatable!!

Stayed at a nearby campground and decided to give this restaurant a try. The food was so good we ate there twice in 3 days! Everything was fresh, the restaurant was clean and staff friendly and the views are amazing! We will be passing through soon and plan to make a detour to get some more of the delicious food!

Great food, great service. It was crowded and turn on food was a little long but worth it. Burger was delicious, steak was good, and seafood pasta was excellent
