We love coming here and the food is amazing but my boyfriend and I came for lunch and sat at the bar. We didn’t even get acknowledged for about 15 minutes by the bartender so we left. As an F&B employee and also being a bartender I would’ve never let a customer sit there for that long without even a hello. I understand being busy but there were maybe 5 people sitting at the bar. Do better.

Typical bar food which was good. Sandwiches were large and the Coleslaw was different with Blue Cheese and Bacon. Server wasnt most ambitious, dropping food off at end of table to have us hand out food. Atmosphere is typical of a BBQ joint, but the hard wooden bar table and chairs were uncomfortable and the group of 6 had difficulty squeezing in to table.Parking: There is a parking lot, but usually have to park on street wherever you can find a spot.

A busy eatery to enjoy on a sunny Sunday afternoon with plenty of outside seating. A pleasant atmosphere but our tuna taco and mahi tacos were disappointing, lacking seasonings and minimal topping (pico de gallo). The shoestring fries were excellent. The burgers being delivered looked much better.

Great burgers, brew and serviceParking: Very busy area with lots of really great restaurants which attracts lots of peopleWe had to park a few blocks away because we got there at peak dinner time around 6:30-7pm. Get there around 5 5:30 and you shouldn't have any problems with parking

We got 2 burgers that were great. Soup was good. Fried onions were great. But, a little expensive for burgers.

Service was great and food was solid at a good price. They make the Black Bean burger in house and I was happy with theirs.

As Edgar Allen Poe fans, we had to stop here for lunch. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and parking was tough. We opted for the pay parking lot about a block away. We were seated immediately and loved our cozy little table in the back. The decor is exactly what we expected with Poe memorabilia virtually everywhere. We started with drinks. My husband had the Perfect Margarita and I had Edgar's Punch. He said his margarita was good. That's about as descriptive as he gets. The Edgar's Punch as the perfect Saturday afternoon on Sullivan's Island drink. It was refreshingly fruity with a hit of coconut! Our server recommended the burgers. Hubby ordered the one with guac, but said he never tasted the guac. He didn't mention that until after he ate every bite so, we will never know. He really did like his burger, with or without the guac. I was Plain Jane and order a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and the onion straws. The burger was perfect with the actually grilled taste. It was definitely the best burger I have had in a very long time. I ate every bite. It's definitely worth it to pay the extra $2 for the cheese straws. They were nice and crispy and very addicting. I tried my husband's fries and they were okay, but my recommendation is go with onion fries.Although they were very busy, the service including the hostess and server were great. Service was prompt and friendly, If we lived in the area, we would definitely be backParking: They do have a small parking lot, but it was full. We ended up paying $2 to park in a lot about a block away.

Great food and coved in Edgar Allen Poe references. This place is fun, casual, and delicious. The they have great food for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans. The staff was kind and accommodating. The food was fresh, portioned well for the price, and had a good variety. It's not a gothic bar by any means but, as a Poe fan, I can say this is special and different. Looking forward to going back sometime.Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers available.
