I don’t know what happened, but the service has really gone down here. They had to remake my shake two times because they didn’t use enough ice cream. I’ve been coming here for years and a shake uses 4 full scoops and the guy making my shake was using 4 little half scoops and too much milk. Then when they finally made something passable for a real milkshake the outside of my cup was a mess with milkshake all down the sides and the top. I think the worst thing was the giggling that happened as they gave me the shake knowing that it was a mess and I had to get another employee to clean it up with a towel. I’m really just disappointed in the whole interaction and the product I received.

We love gelato and this is a great place to go. My wife had the hazelnut. I had the combination of the biscotti - almond, and the chocolate brownie. Both were great. I also sampled the olive oil and salt as well as the pineapple - both would have been good to choose as well.

Stopped in for some ice cream and were not disappointed...this place has some of the best ice cream I have tasted. Definitely recommend!

The gelato itself is great but don’t order the waffle cone, get it in a bowl instead. The waffle cones are very flimsy and the poor employees had to remake my order three times because the whole cone crumbled apart within seconds of them handing the order to me and the gelato fell out. I hope the manager or owner changes the kind of cones they use because that must be so frustrating for the employees to deal with.

Delicious gelato! Definitely a favorite. Their dark chocolate sorbet is so delicious and dairy free!! All the free tastes you can want! The girls working the scoops are always so friendly.

Tried the watermelon lime & coconut sorbet & pistachio gelato. All were very flavorful & the farthest thing from artificial tasting. The watermelon tasted exactly like the real thing. You can tell they get their ingredients locally sourced!

I was pretty miffed walking into Beardcat's after a truly atrocious dining experience at The Obstinate Daughter above it. Beardcat's slightly took the edge off before I trekked back to my hotel, as the folks working were exceedingly nicer than the bartender at OD. I ordered a small cup of the stracciatella gelato and while it didn't match quality you'd expect to find in Italy, it certainly came close.

I am quite particular when it comes to gelato and I have to say... this is some of the best I've had outside of Italy! I was pretty shocked to find gelato of this quality in Charleston, especially in such a touristy area. Lots of fun flavors too! The shop itself is kind of small, with a few small tables. It wouldn't be the worst idea to take your gelato to go and eat it on a walk/along the beach. Wish I had a spot like this near me!

A quaint little vibe. Best coffee gelato I've ever had. As busy as they were, my husband was in and out very quickly!

The gelato was delicious, the place was super crowded, (which means good things inside) however there was extremely limited seating as they share space with the Obstinate Daughter. Flavor: pistachio and chocolate stracciatella ?
