I bought my Black 2012 VW Passat on Aug 31 2023 from Joe Cahan; super professional and nice salesman. The car was in excellent condition and ran smooth as butter!
Fast forward to now on September 6th 2024 today, the car still feels new and still rides smooth like butter! I don't regret not a second meeting Joe and not making my purchase at Carolina Auto Connection in Bowling Springs. Highly recommend!

We purchased my son's first car from Joe. Extremely professional and very nice guy! The car seems to be in amazing condition and is running. He encouraged us to contact him if anything goes wrong and he would see what he could do. Not a pushy or "used car" salesman!

Complete SNAKE. DO NOT buy a car here. Bought a Subaru did not last 500 miles. I called Joe and he hung up on me. See you in court JOE!! STAY AWAY!!
As you can see by his reply he won't take responsibility. Mechanic said there is no way he did not know it needed the head gaskets replaced among other fixes. Do yourself a favor and find another place to buy a car. If you want to get hung up on if you have a problem this is your place!

Joe helped coordinate the repair on a Subaru Outback he sold to me 8 months ago. I mistakenly took it to another repair shop first that recomme ded a lot of repairs that were not the actual issue. Joe's mechanic found the real issue quickly and saved me a lot of money and heartache. Runs even better now than when I bought it. Thank you, Joe!

don’t buy a car from them unless you want to spend 4k or more in repairs and have issues with it after barely owning the thing. I haven’t been able to drive the car for longer than an hour with out an issue popping up. It hasn’t even been a week yet.
This is not a “fake review”, you sold junk to my boyfriend and now he is spending thousands to fix the issues with the car.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but feel this could save someone else the trouble I went through. Purchased a Lexus here that had a check engine light on- we were very skeptical about this but the owner made it clear he had his mechanics try to find the issue multiple times and if anything was wrong they would have found it and fixed it before listing for sale.
Test drove the vehicle down the road and it drove fine, was extremely clean. We came back to purchase it the next week and someone had keyed the side of the vehicle. Red flag again, but I felt the owner was an honest guy. Purchased anyway because I had already gotten the money from the bank and committed assuming it was in the same condition (my fault)
Three days in the car was overheating and a week later was misfiring. I called him back to tell him what it was doing and made sure again that there were never any symptoms along with the check engine light while he had it- which he again said no. Said the car never gave them any issues other than the check engine would come off and on but that was it and that they personally had drove the vehicle in the time they had it and never had issues. He did tell me if there was anything he could do to help to let him know. But my fault again- I bought the vehicle as is only.
Car lasted only a few weeks before breaking down on the side of the road with a cracked head. The mechanics who looked at it said there is no way the seller and especially his mechanics couldn't have known because of the issues it had immediately after buying and found traces of some type of stop leak in the coolant system.
Wish I would have seen all the other reviews before purchasing here. Joe himself was super kind, personable and charismatic, and I trusted him on that. But now I am without a vehicle unless I fork out over $5000 for repaired heads, radiator, thermostat, and heating coil. Pretty bummed as I planned to have this one last me for a while.
Joe was always very nice each time we spoke, was very respectful, and seemed like someone who would shoot you straight, so I trusted him to be honest with me but it's apparent he just wanted the sale. If you purchase here be leery and have a mechanic on site with you to inspect before committing to a sale.

My wife and I just bought a Subaru from Joe at Carolina Auto Group and have to say we had a great experience. Joe was honest and informative about the vehicle and made sure we knew if we had any issues with the vehicle to let him know and that he would do what he could to make it right. Definitely recommend Carolina Auto Connection.

Joseph is rude, harsh, and aggressive. His tone and choice of words were uncalled for. During a simple exchange he got confused, instead of just asking for clarification -he instead chose to add words to be a bully.
