I just had a bad experience with the Simpsonville First Citizens Bank that I feel I have to share. I tried to call this morning on Friday, December 1st. The customer care line did not pick up my call and there was no way to leave a voicemail so I called the teller line to ask if I could talk to someone in customer care or get a call back. She transferred me to that line and it rang off the hook. I called back and she hung up on me. I called 5 more times because I need this issue fixed and 5 times she hung up on me. Finally on the seventh call, Tristan picked up. at this point I’m very angry and he tells me I need to calm down. I explained I was only angry because my calls were being hung up on! I worked in the bank industry for years. I know what good customer service is, this is not how you run a business. if it wasn’t for the loan we have there I would close this account. As the conversation progressed, Tristan listened and apologized, which is what you should always do when a customer is justifiably upset due to poor service (from a business that is taking our money!) That teller needs some customer service skills and thank you to Tristan for doing his job.

Shari Smith was amazing,she took her time opening accounts for my nephew, and my husband and I as well, she went up and beyond with customer service skills. It was very much appreciated to have that small town bank feeling even though they're a huge company!

Thank you very much Ms.Lisa for saying that the money missing out of my envelope was a "service fee" since I did not have an account. Even though I've been to this bank several times and this has never happened thanks for blatantly saying that Ms.Wanda must have been "doing me a favor" the last few times by not charging this fee, as if I should be grateful. I was charged this fee without consent or notice, and the BS apology did not make up for it. Yes, the fee was only a few dollars but I am more upset about the consistency and the honesty. If you're looking for friendliness and transparency in your financial endeavors.. try another bank because you won't find it here.

I must disagree with Brian. Elma is always friendly and helpful, as are Cindy and the other ladies at FCB. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

This bank has repeatedly lied to me about how their accounts work and has been fraudulently taking my money for a loan I never applied for. When I called to express my concerns on this issue they delay and lie about calling back. It's clear they're doing everything they can to rob me of my money.

Teller - Elma was very impersonal and unfriendly. This bank charges fees for everything including cashing checks from their own accounts. Banks like this are the reason to go to a credit union, where you are treated asa valued customer, and paid interest and not taken advantage of with fees for every transaction for being their client. Go elsewhere

Always professional staff and ready to help you when you walk in the door. Welcoming bank and they have great account options. Also the app for first citizens is acceptable and easy to use.
