Catherine Gibson of the Simpsonville Branch is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! She is very kind, patient and does everything to make you feel like family. She helped my son purchase his first car. She explained everything to all of us in detail and made sure that the deal was a good one for us. Banks are just about business and nothing else but Catherine and Secured Advantage Federal Credit Union are all about building and maintaining relationships. ♥️♥️ my credit union!!

When our account at the Credit Union was hacked Catherine at SAFCU caught the intrusion and prevented a significant negative impact. She worked diligently with us to establish a new account and provided guidance to increase security. We are truly grateful for her keen awareness of the threat and quick response.

It’s impossible to get in touch with them, I called multiple times about closing an account and was put on hold for 30+ minutes, transferred to Texas, when I finally reached the correct branch I was put on hold for another 30+ minutes THEN hung up on.I called again because I had serious issues with my account and I was told “Hang on, I can help you.” Click, hung up on AGAIN. Ridiculous and horrible customer service, you have to jump through hoops to get in touch with anyone and because there is no email and the app is severely outdated your only option is to call and hope to God someone answers and doesn’t hang up on you or send you to a transfer loophole. I don’t recommend this bank. No customer service, fraud department sucks, app sucks, website sucks, APR rates suck, literally NO benefits for having an account here over other banks.

MECU refers me to this branch and this branch refers me back to MECU in the meantime I am unable to withdraw money from my savings account and no one from either branch is willing to help me withdraw my money.

I have been a member with SAFCU for 15+ years and always kept my account in good standing. I recently ran into an issue where a merchant charged me by mistake, which I have documented proof from them explaining what happened. This caused me to occur 2 fees with SAFCU. I tried calling and explaining my situation to both a representative, and a Branch Manager, and was informed that this was not their issue and that only 1 fee could be refunded. I was told that I needed to let the merchant know and have them refund me, yet SAFCU is the one who charged the fee. I have been very loyal to SAFCU, but due to this situation and how it was handled, I do not plan to continue my relationship with SAFCU much longer.

Came to this branch since my home credit union is out of state. I had a closing set for the next day and needed a partner branch to get a cashiers check. Brittany was amazing and provided top tier customer service. Thanks!!
