June 2024 by Sharon Kong
My son started at BBM Roebuck in 2/23 however issues that transpired were in last few months. My son is speech delayed and is currently in speech therapy and has an early interventionist. It was not until May 2024 with Ms. Cynthia as one teachers that all the events took place. Ms. Cynthia is very condescending to say the least. My son needs assistance to use bathroom help by pulling up clothing etc. There are other children who also are not fully potty trained. In April 2024 a child pooped outside in back on the cement area. Logan stepped in it with his shoes and I was not notified, apologized to or even called to bring an extra pair of shoes. My son shoes were ruined and was barefoot when I picked him up ,he was outside at time when I arrived. Yet that wasn’t a concern for safety for the center. Also same month my son was forced to urinate himself outside in his pants because again Ms.Cynthia said “ sorry they wouldn’t let me go inside so he had to pee his pants”. Those were acceptable behaviors for the center. Later on May 21st I received call that my son urinated in class and was throwing pee at teacher. Unlike his behavior but I went to go and Ms. Cynthia said he grabbed an object of the play kitchen and peed inside and when she noticed and called his name he poured it out. Not threw it at her but poured it out , not okay but it was different story told to me by admin staff. I was told I would receive a call from the director and never did. When I arrived on May 22 around 7am. Ms. Debbie said she would speak to me regarding situation. She stated Logan would be placed on behavior plan because it’s an issue for his bodily fluids being in class. I asked to see paperwork or if needed to sign anything she said there was none. Mind you bodily fluids weren’t a concern when MY son stepped in human feces. Then she went on about Logan stating “ maybe this may not be the center for him because he was different “ . A complaint has been made with department of justice part of ADA. She also stated if I was to get one more call he would be dismissed. I got a call on May 22nd that my son “attempted to pull down his pants “ and that I needed to pick him up.Again they said director would call me regarding being dismissed. As of June 24 ,2024 I still have not received a call from director. But I however called 5 times on May 23 not one was answered or retuned I called later in evening and told them to close his account as I would be charged continuously. The director answered and placed me on hold never said one word to me. I asked to close account she stated my card was taken off but was charged for two more weeks. Another issue , my son is extremely allergic to insect venom and it was on all paperwork’ since he was enrolled February 2023 and it was never listed on any door or allergy list. I informed front desk multiple times and would explain to teachers. My son was bit on face on June 9, 2023 and swelled up so bad he had to be taken to the emergency room as soon as I picked him up. Yet no calls were made and still no allergy warning was given for him. The center did not place his allergy regarding his insect venom until I reminded staff again this year. His allergy was added on 05/22/2024 on his last day of the center. Lastly Ms.Cynthia has now badmouthed my child to the early interventionist at the center. She stated Logan was no longer there because I knew he would do something bad to get him kicked out and that he was throwing pee at all the children. The amount of disgust I have for certain individuals at the center and administration staff is beyond disbelief. Not only has no camera showing paperwork or anything ever been shown to me but to bad mouth a 4 year old is just disgusting. As a current DSS employee I’m appalled by how everything and all these events took place and the fact the director has never called me to discuss my son speaks volumes. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. Multiple complaints have been filed along with proof.

I can’t say enough about this daycare! The staff are very friendly and you can tell they care about each and every child. It is very clean and the director has always been open to answering any questions I might have. My child loves going there and I feel comfort when dropping him off.

I just have to say this place is amazing. My 2 year old has been going here for 3 months now and loves it. The Director Maegan has been so great. She answers all my questions especially since this is the first time I’ve had to use a daycare facility. She truly cares about the children here. I know that when i drop my daughter off she is in great hands! I highly recommend!

This is a terrible program. Don't let the new building fool you. Our child went last summer and every day I picked him up, I overheard the teacher yelling at the kids. Not in a way to gain control of the classroom but in a way that meant she should not have been employed. Additionally, they have been through multiple directors and as a result paperwork is often lost, you are asked to complete forms repeatedly, and incorrect charges are put on your account. The new director will not talk with parents around concerns and has her admin assistant do it for her. It's absolutely disgusting. It's such a shame too because we like to BBM in Boiling Springs and when we saw the new building, we were excited. My super social, loves camp child has begged me not to go back this year because of how badly run it was. To the extent that one day I went to pick him up and he was passed out on the floor with a fever In the middle of children playing and no one bothered to call me and tell me. Apparently he had been like that for a couple of hours. Additionally, I have had multiple incorrect charges put on my account under the old director and the new director refuses to talk to me about it and I was literally told by staff there that there was an issue with paperwork and charges under the old director but they won't do anything about it. I've even called the corporate office multiple times with no response. This place is a joke.

Megan the director is very rude and doesnt even know whats going on, if you like the answers "hopefully" and "idk" this is the daycare for you, they do not clean at all which i had to call DHEC on them, and Megan doesnt even keep a record of them cleaning, when asked if they do, you will get the answer "hopefully" or "idk", which when it comes to the care of my child those are not answers I like to hear, I would drop my son off with 10 diapers in his bag and usually 10 would come home, I also dropped my son off one day and there where kids banging on windows with toys and standing in sinks while the people who work there just stand and watch, there is no structure at all, all they care about teaching your child is Portuguese, which i dont know where they speak that at. Honestly I have seen zoos that take better care of there animals then this place takes care of the kids and also cleaner zoos, so yes Megan you are a zoo director and possibly need to find another line of work, remember you represent BBM and arent doing a good job at it, the truth hurts sometimes. When called to get my son out of this daycare Mrs Megan hangs up on us, again if you want to deal with a rude director this is the daycare for you. If you dont believe any of this do your own research and look up the DEHEC record its all public record. I sure hope you keep your house cleaner then you keep this daycare Megan.

If you send your kids here be mindful that the director Meagan is very unfair and rude. She picks and chooses which rules to follow, neglecting to conduct a fire drill as their handbook and trainers say they are supposed to. She also believes her child is to be treated better/differently than other children, constantly watching him on the camera in her office. She has a nasty attitude and treats some of her employees awful. There's lice in some of the classes, they don't thoroughly clean cots or the carpets, they're always out of ratio in the mornings, and their own employees call to report them to dss. Only a matter of time before they close.

The staff are absolutely wonderful. My baby loves going to daycare. The staff have gotten to know her and are so in tune with her that they can identify whenever she's not feeling well early so that I'm prepared to give her the best care possible. They've been so gracious with me, a first-time mom, and I'm so thankful for them.

We have been thoroughly impressed with the care our son has received these past 9 months. He is well taken care of and has thrived in their care. We love Paige and she is amazing with our son! Each teacher and staff we have interacted with has loved our son as if he was their own.

I am not able to compare this daycare to any others in the area because my sons have only attended BBMA, but I will say that I've seen improvements since they have moved into a new building and have gotten a new director. The facility is cleaned well on a daily basis, has a wonderful layout on the inside, and a safe outdoor space for the kids to play. Communication with families has gotten better since they have started using an app. Management shares policy updates to all and can message parents privately through it as well. Not all teachers keep up with everything daily, but they can share your child's activities/meals/diaper changes. It's always a plus when they post pictures and videos! It has been a great place for enhancing social skills and proper eating habits. There have been some days when my child may not have been cleaned well, whether it was his diaper area, face, or hands. But overall, both of my children have received wonderful care over the years from staff who treat them like their own. We now get a phone call immediately after an incident, whether it is injury or sickness related. I love how my children are exposed to different cultures and languages at BBMA. In the past, there were opportunities for my first child to take extra classes, like tumbling and music. I would like to see that come back if possible for my second child.

Our children have been at BBMA since they were both 3 months old. The school has definitely improved so much since we started 2.5 year ago. The new building is clean and fun. There is very little staff turnover now so the teachers really get to know my babies and their little personal routines. The new management has made a difference.

The Best school!!! My son goes to the Toddler 1 class and he has learned so much already! The teachers are so nice and they keep you informed all day on what's going on in the classroom. There is an app that lets you know what your child ate, what they are doing, and overall how their day is going I love it!! 100% recommend!!

I’ve been working at BBMA just over a year. I love that my kids come in with a smile and open arms excited to see me, let’s me know I’m doing something right. All our teachers welcome every child that comes in the same way. Our new director is doing a great job stepping in and making our center even better.
