This location is truly unique a lot of shoppers don’t know this but every time you shop at the Hickory post you are actually supporting two small businesses at once. The hickory post allows crafters an artist to pose their items up for sale in their, while the Hickory post does most of the advertising promoting and all of the sales.. This is why this location has such a wide variety and selection to choose from beautiful, handmade art pieces to vintage items collected throughout the years from the sellers. They offer many different experiences throughout the year as well from kids, secret Santa shops to shop and sip. I highly recommend checking them out.

This is a very unique destination. Not sure how to describe it, but it's a mix of an art gallery and an eclectic store for all. Per their website, they describe themself as a furniture and art gallery dedicated to providing accessible art and design for all. It's MUCH more than a furniture and art gallery even!The place is truly busy with an array of displays on both floors. It's almost a hodgepodge of furniture, art, apparel, accessories and all sorts of random items for your home. Thanks to its multi-layered designs-product lines, the store decor is a bit busy and random...no uniformity whatsoever. Not quite beautiful...but very, very interesting! What I love is its super-arty nature...featuring several artist studios within the store, giving you that sense of finding freshly crafted/designed items. To me, it feels something like a friendly, accessible, "made-to-order" store/gallery. Just so unusual!All I can say is that you're sure to find something cool or at least interesting on each and every visit. I've been here a few times in the past 2 years (or so?)...and it's always a different, fresh shopping/viewing experience. It's the type of place that grows on you too...as I seem to like it more and more. Honestly, I didn't even know what to think of this place the very first time I visited. Guess it confused me a bit?? By now, I've grown to love the place! It's a great place to just walk around and kill time even. Today, for instance, I noticed a little room filled with kitschy art and accessories. I was also guided toward an area featuring nothing but $10 items...stocking stuffer type items for kids and adults alike. Lots of Christmas items right now!Anyhow, I can't believe that there isn't a single review for this place...so am glad to be first! Uploaded several pics from the place, but it's just a small representation of what's there. Can't wait to see what this place has in store for my next visit!

How cute and fun is The Hickory Post?! I feel like there's a little something for everyone here - like I could shop with multiple generations, and everyone would find something to love.

Very fun, interesting place to shop or just to look around. They have art from local artists, furniture, home decor, jewelry, clothes, and artist spaces all well-curated in a cool spot.

Such a gem of a place! I found the perfect Christmas gifts. They are constantly getting inventory so there’s always something new to see and enjoy (furniture, art, accessories, gifts) The service is excellent— you’ll be greeted with a smile. Downtown rock hill is so lucky to have The Hickory Post!
