I just had a really bad experience with Sam’s Club in Rock Hill. A few weeks ago I bought a mattress for my spare bedroom. Before purchasing it I asked what the return policy was and was given one answer by a manager and another employee. Then after purchasing it. I went home tried it out for a few weeks and decided that it was not a great fit. So I went back to Sam’s while I was shopping one day and asked again to confirm the return policy. I was told a different process. I then contacted customer service hoping they would help but was even more confusing. At this point it was clear that no one in Sam’s club knew what they were talking about. So today I went in to return my mattress in person. When I went in, two employees and a “manager” were not very helpful and didn’t bother to hear my side of the story of how frustrated I was after she immediately said I had to return it wrapped in plastic. The mattress came in a box that you have to remove the plastic which was impossible to re-wrap the mattress. She said to go get wrapping plastic and tape it. Again, she didn’t bother to let me speak which made it clear she had poor customer service, especially if she was one of the managers. She also said to do it outside the Sam’s club! Hahaha tbh wrapping the mattress wasn’t the main issue. My issue with them was how they all handled this situation. I had to go back home, get plastic wrap and buy tape! In the mean time I contacted customer service to get a clear answer but just as always, it was a waste of time and was told that the policy changed and assumed that I bought it online but I bought it in person. They transferred me to another department in the Sam’s Club Rock Hill and when they answered, I introduced myself and immediately placed me on hold and was cut off. I then was on hold for a while and was so frustrated that no one was able to have great customer service to hear my frustrating process with how everyone was telling me different policies and procedures. The way they handled this was truly poor customer service. I asked for the store manager and he never showed up, so we finally had the assistance of an employye I spoke to before purchasing the mattress. He was the only one that took ownership and refunded me, he was GREAT! But I did leave very unhappy with how I was treated and he also was able to assist me wrap the mattress with the plastic I had to get. If only I was told when I asked multiple times what the return policy was and that it had to be wrapped ect, it would have been a smooth process. But no one was able to provide clear instructions regarding the policy changes. I truly hope that for anyone thinking of buying furniture at this store thinks twice bcs they seem to have different policies when it comes to returning certain items and just makes it very difficult and frustrating that the total 8 individuals including two in customer service by phone were not able to help. I really am going to give it another try and not cancel my membership but this really made me rethink of getting my membership in the first place.

I purchased tires and had an appointment at 12 noon today. Only one employee was working in tire and battery. He had to do the scheduled work, answer the phone and help any customers that came to desk. After 1 hr and he hadn’t been able to even start on my vehicle. We made contact with the General Manager ( who had been in garage area talking for over 30 minutes to female employee) to ask if he could help this employee. He said he can’t help in Tire and Battery. We asked, can’t you look stuff up in this computer system? He said, yeah, but quickly left area and didn’t help the employee. We finally got out at 3pm! Ridiculous! But, it’s management’s fault, not the employee!.

Moved to the area and I'm still a loyal Costco member but don't want to have to drive a distance every time we need our meats and other bulk items, not to mention they also have a gas station that is at least 0.15 lower than other stations around. That alone was worth the membership. They have an ongoing special that when you sign up you get back a rebate for orders placed online which was the only reason, I decided to get a membership. Had a Sam's membership many years ago when I lived in Florida but had a horrible customer experience and returned my membership. So far, I haven't had any bad experiences, but I haven't had any great one's either. It is always hard to find someone to help you when you need it. I do like that they have plenty of self-checkouts. I don't usually get a lot so it's a quick in and out.

I am giving this rating go the food / Togo area. I've been waiting right over 30 mins for a 10 min pizza. When a pizza was brought it was supposed to be boxed, but transitioned in transit to the heater over up front. A lady next to me asked to talk with a manager because she had an issue that was not being taken care of. The manager never came. I under that people get busy. It happens. Small things pile up. Fingers crossed next time it didn't take this long. It's not worth the wait.

There's a lot stuff you can buy in bulk. Then it's also nice because they used to give samples as well before COVID and it's a very warm place because of the friendly staff

The store is what you'd expect from a Sam's Club and seems clean enough. The problem is that they don't enforce mask wearing or social distancing. Honestly, I haven't seen so many people without masks on since the start of the pandemic. It takes a special kind of stupid to jeopardize the other shoppers, the Sam's Club employees and their own families.

My friend asked me to take her to Sam's club . So she could get a membership from Groupon. It was 25.00 for the whole year plus a take a bake pizza for free. After a 30 minute wait to get her card. She got the card but no take a bake pizza. Must come back in 72 hour's. Sam's club get it together. After over 8 people in line at membership desk. A manger should have been called to get help. Don't pull the man from the desk to cover the door. Wow
