The owner goes out of her way to personalize your hairstyle and color. I have tried many stylists and none have it been able to get the right color for dark brown hair without having it turn red. She has nailed it consistently and now I'm a regular client.

It's a very relaxed place. Yesterday was my first visit and the owner was very welcoming and sweet. She certainly listens to your concerns and gives helpful advice on hair care. Would recommend to anyone!

Southern Styles is a hidden charm for Ridgeland...Mrs. Horry has been very patient with me and does a wonderful job with hair. even when I didn't like a cut she went out of her way to make sure I was happy. if you haven't tried her you def should, very reasonably priced and offers many services!

I went to this salon for a body wave. When I came out of the salon, my hair had a very tight perm. BUT the worst was yet to come. The owner/techician had failed to rinse the solution out properly, and as the day went on my hair began to take on a "cotton candy" like consistency. It was like it had begun to melt. I was in tears for days. I finally went to a "real" salon, where I had to get most of my hair cut off, to correct this mess. The cosmetologist at the new salon said it was the worst case she had seen, and that if the person who gave me the perm could not do any better than that, she should not be in business. I WOULD NOT recommend this salon. If no other salons are available, you would have better results doing your own hair!!!!!
