This past Friday I volunteered at Lovable Paws. The staff was very friendly and you could tell by the way they greeted each dog by name that this was not just a job, but their passion. My job was to fill water bowls. Every dog was fed and given water each morning and evening. There was shelter for the dogs out of the heat. I was so happy to see there was ample space for the dogs to run and play. Thank you Steve and volunteers for being so dedicated to our furry friends.

Best rescue shelter I have been to! The thing I loved the most is that the dogs are free roaming, as much as possible on a few acre farm. They are not stuck in cages in a cold, damp concrete room. All the dogs looked so happy and they follow Steve everywhere he goes. You can tell he cares for them so well and they love him. We adopted Charlie, a beautiful American Cocker Spaniel Puppy. Steve went over everything with us. Charlie was already “fixed” and had gotten all his shots. Charlie is so happy in his forever home with us. He is so cuddly and playful. He plays well with all the other dogs at the dog park. Please check out Lovable Paws if you are looking to adopt. There are so many adorable babies there looking for a permanent home.

Loveable Paws is a rescue that takes in many animals who are on kill list for other shelters. The dogs are free roaming,as much as possible, and you can tell that they are able to get along with other dogs this way. The facility is coming along as it was purchased, not long ago and Steve puts his heart and soul into every animal. He knows the personalities and quirks of the dogs and will not adopt out a pup to families or people that he believes won’t work with the particular dog’s personality. He will always take a pup back If it doesn’t work out or if circumstances change. Understand that this is not a government agency, and therefore gets no monies from the government. It relies completely on adoption fees and donations.
Yes, the dogs can get a bit dirty, especially after a rain, but they are not stuck in a concrete and fenced cage - to me that is much more important , especially for their emotional health.
They have every kind of dog - from tiny Chihuahuas to pony sized Great Danes! Check them out!

Dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes can be found on the farm. The owner and volunteers work tirelessly to take care of all the dogs who are waiting for their forever homes. So thankful our community has them!

My daughter adopted a very cute little puppy, so we are happy about that. I do have to say that I was extremely disappointed with the facility. It was dirty and there were about 30 to 40 dogs just roaming about and there was poop all over the place. The dogs were dirty and smelly. When we showed up, I was not quite sure of how to get in so I called the number and the lady said to come through the fence so I told her, you want us to come in here with all these unknown dogs and one of the dogs was literally as tall as my waist. The dogs were friendly, but I felt very uneasy being around that many dogs just roaming freely. They did not look all that well care for although I do believe that the people working there have good intentions, but I think it’s very difficult to take care of that many dogs with a very small staff. Also the well check veterinarian service I was supposed to be free ended up costing my daughter $111 And the adoption was almost $500 for a dirty little puppy who had heartworm eggs in his stool. We are happy about our sweet little guy. He’s so happy and has gained weight because he was so thin that you can see his ribs. We would not go there again to get another dog. I feel like like they have so many dogs, That they need to come down on the adoption price and just maybe they might be able to get more Their animals adopted. Also, they need to pick up the poo. That’s so dangerous around small little pups. And it’s just disgusting. I had an anxiety when I was there.

Very disheartened with the "customer" service to my family in a separate unwelcome altercation brought on by someone from this facility and I imagine there will be a little snarky response to my review like all the others that aren't perfectly "5 stars".
Be kind, not everyone is out to get you or bring you down.
