“I've been to Dollar Tree perhaps twice since it opened. I think it's been 2 or so years since their opening. My last visit was a year ago. I went to shop for birthday cards. I was so disappointed to find that the choices for young children's greeting cards left much to be desired! There were little choices for cards for juveniles at all, with ages for both girls and boys on them. So i went there today, and after glancing down a few aisles, I noticed only one clerk working the floor. and she was one and was stationed at a register. Which made for a lot of rolling of the eyes from customers in line having to wait. A couple of customers were very frustrated letting others know about the management being incompetent! I felt so sorry for the clerk, due to the fact, she was obviously not happy with her circumstances. Sadly, she was not equipped in her training to be left up front alone; nor did she smile or hardly make eye contact with her customers with no smile. So even though it's been a year since going back due to the negative experience I had. however, today's experience was quite different, in that their stores eye appeal inside was A+ ~100%. I was amazed at first glance! So "Very well stocked and my goodness, a new greeting cards look. A MUCH bigger choice, and I was able to purchase my grans birthday cards with the younger one having a numer#11 for his age! I didn't have the time to stay )onger with an upcoming later dinner engagement. I did make sure that I mentioned how shiny clean was, and how well stocked well for Christmas as well as the everyday items, to my pastor's wife! I'm so glad we have a Dollar Tree store that shows great promise for our small town of Ridgeland! I do pray they work with their staff. There came 2 clerks as I was leaving. I thought it was a shift change. Out of 3 clerksthen, i saw that only one young clerk actually paid attention to the customers! None was actually receptive. Very little interaction with we customers! Why aren't they being trained and then surveyed to make sure customer service is at the front of the clerks' minds? It's only common courtesy and the "Golden Rule."
I worked retail jobs as well in my younger years, then as hospital Pharmacy Tech. All my jobs emphasized Customer Service! What has happened to the younger generation? God bless everyone!”

“Where do I start with my visit to the family Dollar in Ridgeland SC. First the public bathroom toilet was clog and when I go to wash my hands there was no hand soap. I ask two associates about the soap who's reply were that they were out of soap and they won't have any soap to put in the bathroom until the store truck comes. So I purchase a bottle of soap to wash my hands. They I found the store manager who was just clocking in and share with her my whole ordeal. She assured me she would put some hand soap in the bathroom and she apologize for my inconvenience. So at first my visit started as a nightmare quickly turn into a OK visit thanks to the store manager .”
