“So this little local grocery store is less than 100ft from the Palmetto Trail and is actually featured on the Palmetto Trail website as SC’s best burger! The menu for this place is on a back wall. You walk up and let them know what you want on your burger or whatever it is that you are going to order, and they cook it, wrap it up, and on your way you go. We had been walking for several miles and asked if there was a place we could eat and they pointed out a lovely little roadside park about a block away. We paid for our burger, my IBC, Lays chips, and Little Debbie brownie and headed to the park - which turned into a rather cool picnic (covered tables provided). The burger was excellent probably because the ingredients were ridiculously fresh. Pretty chunky super juicy tomato and fresh onion covered in melty cheese - OMG. It was very good, and the IBC after 10 miles of walking - yaaas. Highly recommend for my fellow walkers wanting some of that local experience for your taste buds!”

“For being in the middle of nowhere it has enough stuff that you may need while visiting the lake. It’s that type of place to find random stuff that you may simply need. You are not going to find healthy gluten free options here”

“Ummmmm........Life is better with good coffee.And,....If you left the house stressed mad or uptight and can't shrug off the chore of grocery shopping, you can always just go have a glass of wine too!Have a few too many and decide you don't want to cook?Well goodness they have a deli that is better than many surrounding restaurants. (FYI it's always better to be of sober mind)The sign says locally owned so that is awesome. They have many specialty breads in their bakery. I picked up some rye. It's good. Huge selection of cheeses. Seafood looked awesome.Very clean store. It seemed like the staff are very interested in helping their neighbors. They don't see them as customers but friends. (Way to go management)Some changes in the health of a family member has propelled me into shopping in an unfamiliar place. The stress of it all has been a little unnerving. My coffee server knew I needed a hug and came around the counter and gave me just what I needed.Chapin is a small town but has grown so much you can still feel out of touch with community. That is unless you go to Lowe's.Great atmosphere great folks.”

“The management and staff are very courteous and professional as they accomplish customer service to those with questions and ensure the customer finds the products they need. And the turkey loin is my favorite. Keep up the great work. Peace be with you all through Jesus Christ ?”

“The first time I went to this Food Lion, it was crazy at the registers. I’m assuming it was one of the managers bagging at the register I went to.She was pushy about bagging and seemed like she was trying to rush the cashier. It was incredibly overbearing. I ended up losing the grape jelly I had bought and didn’t go back for months. That was maybe around January or so?I gave it another try sometime in the early summer and that manager(?) wasn’t there and no one was bagging which I was relieved about. I definitely prefer putting my own groceries in my cart. Less of a chance of losing anything.Ever since then I’ve had fairly peaceful shopping experiences here.Anytime I’ve had a question the employees have been nice. They don’t have EVERYTHING I usually get, but that’s probably due to it being a smaller, sort of cramped store. The deli food and bakery items taste great too!10/10 recommend, especially if you hate big grocery stores :)”

“Top quality, great customer service. Don't be discouraged by negative Karens and Ken's who whine and never take to management or get their knickers in a wad over speed bumps.”

“I am absolutely amazed at how clean the store is! I almost forgot I was in a Dollar General when I realized all around me, were perfectly stocked shelves!! Good job guys”

“Probably the best organized DG in town (out of 4)... At least you aren't running into stock crates and rolling carts on every aisle... And the cashiers don't ignore you here. I can usually find what I need without a hassle. Most DGs are a hot mess with empty shelves and stock everywhere, blocking aisles... This one has some but not overwhelming. Staff is helpful too.”

“This store is great. I had what time they closed wrong from looking at times on line and we all know that during pandemic times and hours are different depending on the area its in. So I was last one in store and I thought I had an hour but I was wrong. They let me finish getting my essentials and weren't upset as people tend to get when its time to get off from work and go home.”
