The people here are always so nice. When the cafe is open, make sure you get something to eat. They have porta johns around back in case there is a line for the restroom inside. It's always clean. If you're headed up the mountain, make sure you stop here so you can avoid stopping at the gas station in Rosman. They are not so nice...

Perfect little store to grab your last minute necessities before heading off to the lake! Only rate it as 4 stars as there is only one restroom. As a guy it is not a big deal, because they keep a fully stocked pottajohn outside. I know ladies will not enjoy that, but quick and simple for me! Oh, they also have Fried Pies sometimes and they are amazing! Made by a sweet local lady. She had surgery the last time I was there and had not yet recovered to make them. I pray she recovers fully as those are the highlight of my trip! Even if not, thank you for providing them throughout the years!
