Nice place with a decent amount of stores. There are some very good one and some that are say touristy. Definitely some local flavor for visitors and worth a visit.

I love eating at Local in the Hammock Shops, and enjoying the farmers market! It's a great place to walk around and enjoy Pawleys.

I've been visiting the Hammock Shops on vacations at Pawleys for over 30 years! It's definitely part of the quintessential Pawleys Island experience. You have to stop in the main store for some homemade fudge and visit the hammock maker if they are working. It's definitely worth a couple hours when you need a break from the beach.

This is home to the original 1938 Pawleys Island hammock and they still make them
By hand here! Be sure and stop by the Hammock Weavers building and watch them hand make your hammock. Start at the Hammock shop and then continue on through through the rest of the village. The village is much bigger then you think. Parking in the front is limited, and if you don’t see an open spot drive through the village and there is parking in the back.
It’s a great spot for a nice break from the beach and to just to enjoy some locally and area made items. They also have clothing, toys, gifts and more items to pick from in the various cottages. Often times they have a basket weaver in the village making flowers and baskets. It’s a lovely place to spend a few hours.

Big place to shop but there really isn’t much to buy if that makes sense!
