Whatever you do, don’t bring a group of people here. No customer service at all. No cart girls. They close the bar down early. No water stations. They close the range on us two days in a row one day for Grass Cutting. Greens are in muni conditions. Pro shop at Pete dye was clueless unsure what their problem even was when they were checking us in . Stay away

We played on a rain soaked day, but these comments still hold true. Greens were in poor condition, very bumpy and suffered from poor drainage. Traps around the green had very very thin sand and rocky. Water grass in the rough and crabgrass on tees. I was surprised no water on the course.. the layout was challenging but Pete Dye would not be proud of the manageable conditions. Time to give the greens keeper a bigger budget!

We come from Toronto to here, but this is a horrible experience in this dye course with a 120 $ pay. I don’t know why It is recommended as 5 star course on golfzoo. But green status is extremely bad, make us feel we don’t want to do putter because it will destroy our putter feeling, full of holes on green and ball keep jump around on the every green. Please study carefully on line before you decide to do this course , it will destroy your travel experience totally.

Extremely disappointing to pay $133 for a round here. The course was in sub par shape, pitch marks all over the greens. At least 5 to 10 poorly filled in old holes on almost every green. Many areas that should be marked ground under repair. Would not recommend playing, at least in June.

After playing eight rounds of golf in the Myrtle Beach area. this honestly was the course I was looking forward to the most and sadly might be the most disappointing, especially for the price! when we arrived I have never in my life. seen so many people waiting to tee off the bad boys were doing overtime. there must have been $60 to 70 bags waiting to be loaded up. tells me right away. they've overbooked literally. I've never seen anything like this and I've played golf for 20 plus years and do these outings all the time. talk about this lowest round of golf that was easily 5 hours and totally unnecessary. The conditions weren't up to par, especially when we had played courses the days before a third. the price you can imagine how disappointing we were with this. I know it's a resort. I know it gets overplayed but for Pete dye design the layout wasn't even all that intriguing. the waist areas were everywhere and again the conditions themselves were a little poor. add that to an absorbent price you have what me and five other guys agreed was our least favorite round of golf in the area. save your money. go north of the border and play the courses in shallotte Ocean Isle area. they are tremendous for the price. otherwise I would go to the south end and play around pawleys island. clubhouse was great merchandise, food etc. everything was really good in regards to that. it was really just the golf course not living up to expectations, especially for prices. upwards of $200. like I said we played courses that were far superior for under a hundred bucks that's a no-brainer.

Course layout is outstanding. Pro shop staff was very nice. The cart girl was not pleasant and one of the staff was a jerk. The issue with the day the 7 of us played was the booking of the front nine and the back nine. It took us 3 hours to play the back nine as there were 4 groups on the number 10 tee when we arrived. It never cleared up. Poor planning and no solution. I've seen similar comments in the past on this course which tells me it's all about the money and not the experience for the player.

Solid layout with excellent conditions. The sand traps and hazards will punish bad shots and the water is generally in play. I wouldn’t rank it as a top 5 Myrtle course, although it’s priced like one. Definitely worth playing once but not a great value. Staff was nice- seems like they really want to be a private club but couldn’t make it work.

The Dye club is truly unbelievable. The staff was great, the course was immaculate, the service was outstanding! My group had the best round. My friend Matthew raves about how much he cannot wait to come back and play his NEW favorite course on the grand strand. Thanks for letting us play!

The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach, designed by Pete Dye, is both stunningly beautiful and tough, with many waste (sand) areas. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and offered great tips for improving our game. The fees are affordable, too. Although I didn't play well due to frequently getting into the waste area, we had such a great time.

Overbooked, overpriced, over staffed, and absolutely no service! We played, oh sorry, I mean we struggled through a 4 and 3:4 hour round there yesterday. We did not have a single shot to play unimpeded. We waited and waited and waited. When we asked the “ranger/waterboy” what the issue was. He responded we just picked the wrong season to come to Myrtle Beach.

Barefoot Resort & GolfAttention Dave Genevro Director of GolfWe highly recommend this golf club and resort. We played in a junior tourney (US KIDS) for two days. One round at LOVE and one round at DYE. Amazing courses and they were so amazing to host 200 junior golfers and their families. And they did it with a smile. Well done Dave and team
