Course I was in great shape, friendly staff. I was there a few years ago and remembered the fairways having more defined mowing lines, gave a cleaner, “PGA” look, but still, great shape. Small greens, and they rolled true.

A shadow of it's former glory......just returned from a golf trip and visited the Love Course on April 26th.......tee boxes for beat up, sand traps were ignored and the greens were over run with different grasses. They charge a premium to play and value isn't there.

Barefoot Love was the third course we played after Grand Dunes and TPC myrtle respectively. It was a major disappointment unfortunately. Keep in mind, Barefoot love was $175 a person, while TPC and Geand dunes were $165 a person. While Grand dunes and tpc were in prestine condition, Barefoot was dry as a desert and you’d have to search to find any grass. Tee boxes were torn apart, and no complimentary tees, or towels like other clubs provide.
All photos attached are fairways, or tee boxes. The rough at TPC was twice as nice as the fairway at Barefoot, for less money.
On top of that, after letting the clubhouse know we though it was a little disappointing maybe needs some more water, they said “I played the other day and it’s perfectly fine” and “you’re the only person to ever say that but feel free to fill out a paper.”
The photo with a turkey is a TPC tee box for reference. Even the rough around the tee box is nicer than the fairway at Barefoot.
Complete waste of money for $175 a person.

Hospitality for group travel golf was brutal. Driving range closed 11 - 1pm, no beverage / snack shop after 9, only saw a cart girl once on hole 3. Course was a little burned out as well. Don't recommend for group travel, go to Dye course or Tidewater.

Everyone here was very friendly right from the start. The course was great. Lots of hills. The greens broke a little weird but was still great. After that went to the clubhouse for lunch and man o man I recommend the Buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries! Could have eaten another one.

One of the worst golf experiences I've ever had. Course is in mediocre condition for the cost. Plenty of dirt visible on the greens from lack of growth. On some holes you could see the last 10 to 15 pin locations. Plenty of dead spots in the fair way and rough. Worst of all, we had the first tee time at 7 am, and then because they sent people off 1 and 10 to start, we got held up at the turn for an hour. You read that right, we had to wait an hour between finishing hole 9 and starting hole 10. Never going back to these courses.
