This bank should be closed. This is definitely not a good bank to open up a business account. You will get charged for fees you didn’t authorize. Customer service representatives do not value you as a customer. I closed my business account and ironically as I was walking out I spoke with a lady who had just closed their personal account. So if you decide to open an account with this bank, play at your own risk.
Update: As always an “AI Robot” responds to a comment made by a current or former customer. The time to at least attempt to retain an unhappy customer is before they close an account with your establishment. I recommend anyone reading this post to use Navy Federal for all your banking needs. Navy Federal Credit Union is spot on with customer service .

South State is the worst bank we've ever used & we will be closing our accounts with them shortly. Between poor customer service at this branch & others & this branch & others won't answer the phone, purchases take forever to show up on the account, when you use zelle in the app, it opens a third-party website instead of just working quickly & efficiently like every other bank, we have a “free” checking & savings account & they have both been hit with service fees even after doing what they said “going e-statements” they still hit the saving with another fee & retook out the first fee again for some reason, cash isn't always instantly available, we had a check pending for over a week due to “unusual activity” & customer service said to go into the branch to remove the hold & when we did the branch said they couldn't do anything until Saturday upon which we asked if they were opened on Saturday & they said no... geniuses work here.Imagine everything you do with your current banking; now imagine all those things taking a ridiculously long time. South State is a super inconvenient bank that really drives home that “lower & slower in the south.”

Recently I moved here and my Landlord suggested this bank. The staff greeted me with a smile and led me to the right person to open an account. Some financial establishments are snooty and give you expensive accounts or information that is not helpful. Not SouthState I was informed and taken care of with respect. I do suggest you shop around for a bank that suits your needs and I do suggest you stop in here at the Centre Point location. Great experience I gave 4stars because they aren't open(not 1 branch) on weekends.

Went in today and opened a checking, savings and credit card since I just moved here and Molly helped me out because they were all on lunch . She was totally fantastic and got everything handled for me quickly and the ladies at the counter we so very polite friendly and helpful. If you need a bank go here!!!
