This gym has been closed for over an hour after the prescribed open time of 7 AM without any warning (such as in the app) or explanation.
old review:
This is a very good PF, compared to every other one I have visited, and the new equipment (especially the rowing machines) is great. However, the Friday and Saturday hours should be expanded to keep the gym open until at least midnight. This might even attract more gym members, given PF's history of success operating 24/7 gyms and growing to be one of the most numerous gym chains.

Y'all I can't afford $2,000 dollar rent, so I'm a full time van lifer, normally I am met with a lot of judgement...but today I was helped by a pf worker, who went above and beyond to assist me. Nyasia, (not how you spell her name???♀️)was kind , courteous and professional ?
I love when I have these great interactions and I wanted to share how nice she was ?

Great staff.. very helpful.. club manager is awesome as well another lady who is always in there helping. Not sure if she is an Assistant but she has shorter blonde and gray hair. These two make this club better than the rest. At other clubs in the area they stand around on phones. I drive 23 miles from home just to come to this club.

I enjoy Planet Fitness when traveling as I have find they are all very different. This location is perfect for someone interested in cardio as they have more cardio equipment in one gym than I’ve ever seen. They have extra smith machines so when I went in the morning there was not a wait for anything. They are not open 24/7 so be mindful of the operating hours on the weekend before heading to the gym.

Planet Fitness is a great place to workout. Friendly staff, well maintained equipment and all of them being functional make it the best gym in Charleston.
I especially like the Lunk Alarm! There is no-one grunting or dropping weights. Dropping weights annoys me; if you don't have the strength to bring down the weights gently, why do you even lift weights?

The Dorchester rd. Location is stellar! Clean facilities, well maintained equipment and kind and professional customer service. Also, I'm a black card member, and you cannot beat the services available for black card members. So I highly recommend it. You're not going to find a better deal at other clubs.

I called three times to get my account transferred and no one knew how to do their job. Spoke to the manager at 2:53 on 6/17/24 and she did not give me her name, but instead told me that it wasn't the staffs job to know how to transfer accounts. Everyone I spoke to, had a bad attitude. They call the Dorchester Rd Planet fitness the ghetto club. Today, they lived up to their reputation. Willing to bet they hired the locals from the ghetto to man the front desk. Beware!!
