Pup In The Tub Dog Grooming
3620 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North CharlestonSaturday Feb 17 2024 Mr. Philip @ Pup In The Tub did for my Golden Retriever what no one else would or could. My baby dog is Lance. Lance is a dog with black nails, making it difficult to see his quick.I've been to four different veterinarians all because I was looking for a doctor or their tech who would be comfortable clipping my dog's nails.I have been to stores and two different groomers who wouldn't attempt clipping because they didn't want to cause Lance stress or risk cutting his quick. After 2 years, which was disheartening and neglectful on my part of not having anyone comfortable with this task, I was told to try Pup In The Tub.I usually work when they are there, so after many text messages, I took a day off and went in.First, the person answering my MANY texts was extremely polite and kind. Very professional!Upon arriving, I was given a lead as I couldn't locate Lance's. The staff allowed me to bring Lance into their work space and let me lay on the floor to talk to Lance through the process.Mr. Philip put on a back brace and got down on the floor with us. I am sure I was a spectacle as I was holding back tears because of all Mr. Philip did for Lance. Mr. Philip clipped and drumeled Lance's nails and had something near in the event the quick was nipped. The entire process was done in less than 12 minutes. The staff is professional. These people treated my Lance exactly how I do.If you are even slightly considering this place, just save yourself peace of mind and GO!I CANNOT say enough about these people and the entire experience. Lance usually doesn't let anyone touch his feet and will pull away and cry. Lance lay down and was calm the entire time.Thank you to Mr Philip and his staff. All amazing, professional, and kind!

The Dog Wash
4135 Rivers Ave, North CharlestonCarrie and her team are so wonderful! I've had my doodle groomed by a few different people but Carrie and The Dog Wash have been the best cut for my guy. They take great care of the dogs and they are all happy when you go there. I find these aspects to be as important as the quality of the groom. Thanks Carrie! (One photo is a fun cut they did with a mohawk)

5119 Braddock Ave, North CharlestonJana and Melanie are both such awesome people. I have a 20 year old cat that likes to take showers, and he was matted really bad. I learned the showers were making his mats tighter. Due to his age we have to shave in 2 separate appointments. Jana will be his groomer forever. ❤️

Lowcountry Pet Wellness Clinic Spay N Neuter
7800 Rivers Ave #1260, North CharlestonI’ve been a long-time customer of Lowcountry Pet Wellness Clinic and recently took my dog there for her yearly shots. I continue to be impressed with how convenient the process is. One of the standout features is that no appointment is necessary. They have open clinic days, typically two to three days a week, where you can simply walk in during their normal hours.
The check-in system is efficient. You sign in when you arrive, and they have a great system for keeping track of your place in line. It can get busy, so I recommend showing up as early as possible before they open to secure a spot, but once you're there, everything flows quickly.
One of the biggest perks is that they don't charge for an actual vet visit, meaning you only pay for the shots or medicine your pet needs. This makes it a very affordable option for pet owners, especially if you're caring for animals on a budget.
As a long-time customer, I highly recommend Lowcountry Pet Wellness Clinic as a budget-friendly and efficient alternative to a traditional vet visit.

7620 Rivers Ave Ste 120B, North CharlestonWe've been going to Banfield for years. The staff has always been nice, but we were extremely impressed with Dr. Langermann and her staff at today's visit. Our dog, Kaiser, can be very skittish, but they worked with us to check him out and keep him as comfortable as possible during our visit. We're so glad to have her there and look forward to having her help us keep Kaiser healthy!

Lodi Coffee
2210 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North CharlestonThe customer service here is IMPECCABLE. Im always greeted witg a smile, kind words and jovial banter. I remember pulling up to the window once and being greeted by a batista who knew me based on my order. I enjoy the espresso frappuccino drink with occasional flavor, but it's too sweet for my taste. I plan to experiment more with espresso shots to cut the sugar

1250 2nd St N, North CharlestonI'm not trying to be biased because I always try and support local but Coast has the best Carpaccio I've had of recent memory. Wind & Waves Brewing
4427 Spruill Ave, North CharlestonDisclaimer: Their last day in operation will be 08/03/2024. The place is amazing, the people are amazing, the beer is amazing. If you're reading this, whether you have been there or not, you need to go. Wind & Waves quickly became my favorite brewery in Charleston, quite possibly ever. It's a very small brewery, but they have always made sure to focus on the quality of their beers rather than the quantity. I have never had a beer from them that I didn't like. I always enjoyed the laid back and relaxed vibe of the place, with my preferred seating outside on their patio (current heat aside). They've been the host to many a fantastic food truck and have made sure to have their own selection of food at the ready when there is not a truck on site. All of the facilities were always kept immaculate and everyone involved in its operations took pride in their work and it showed. The owner, the brewer, the taproom manager, the bartenders: all of them are great people who provide exceptional service. I have never seen them be anything but polite, professional, and most of all welcoming and friendly. They have been a true part of the community, definitely part of my community, and I am going to be there every day they are open until the end.

The Grit Counter - North Charleston
3438 W Montague Ave, North CharlestonI had been here one other time with a local coworker and it was great so I decided to bring Brody and his teammate to try it out. Brody's friend said before we ordered, "What's a Grit?" So the woman behind the punter explained to him about the origin of grits and brought him a sample of the Gouda Grits. I think it was love at first bite!He built his own bowl with the hot chicken, salsa verde and sausage gravy. He did well with the meal and saved some for later at the hotel. My son was not a fan of grits so he got grilled chicken, with fries and hush puppies. I ordered the fried flounder, with cheddar jalapeño grits, Brussel sprouts and corn. Great meal!

Freehouse Brewery
2895 Pringle St B, North CharlestonReally lovely riverside brewery - stopped by for a quick Sunday afternoon drink for our first visit and we were really pleasantly surprised at how great it was, yet relatively unknown. It's definitely off the beaten path, so be prepared for some bumpy industrial roads. The space is open with tons of seating inside and out. The kids loved the lawn, games and marsh access for fiddler crab hunting. Dig friendly and lots of great Adirondack chairs in the shade. The pizza was delicious and the drinks were good. Our bartender, Tom was really friendly and spent time telling us all about the drinks, giving small samples before we picked a rose hibiscus seltzer and a flight of beer, then a fun peach sour. We'll definitely be back!

Charleston Animal Society
2455 Remount Rd, North CharlestonThis place is fantastic. My husband and I went in to see a 2 mo old German shepherd pup. Staff was very friendly and got us into a play room with him right away. The paperwork was really easy to do. We explained we had a cat at home and they gave us a few pamphlets and tips on how to introduce them and keep them calm. The tips worked great and they’re best buds already!
After a day or two, we believed the puppy to have kennel cough. I called the shelter back and they got medication filled for him and I was able to pick it up within the hour. This place was great from start to finish!
