Pawnshops often get a bad rap, but I had a amazing experience at Mega Pawn. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable ( Jewelry, comics, games, and coins just to name a few). I found far more than what I originally came to get. The prices were better than genes and Money man, where I have been in the past. They have a huge jewelry showroom and probably the biggest pawnshop in Charleston.

Friendly staff that are super willing to help you find whatever you're looking for. Has pretty decent prices and a large selection of used tools. I've also gotten some pretty solid fishing gear from here as well. Just the selection alone keeps me coming back just to see what they've got.

I had a 5/8 caret diamond ring i took in mega Pawn to sell. I knew it was a 5/8 caret. The lady in Mega Pawn measured it and said it was not a very nice and it was 3/8 caret and offered me $200 so i walked out and took it to Genes pawn right down the road they said it was a very nice 5/8 and gave me $580. I wouldnt trust mega pawn as far as i can throw them. Very dishonest and try to steal stuff at a very cheap price.I have dealt with Moneyman and Genes Pawn shops many of times but i will never go in Mega Pawn again and nobody else should either.There is a lady in there a lot of the time who has been there for years. I think she is the owner wife. Those words they use CHA CHING means money in there pocket not yours.I deal quite often with Big Bucks pawn in Ladson too. They are nice people

They gave $580. I wouldnt trust mega pawn woth nothing. They are very dishonest.

If I couldn't give any stars I wouldn't. I put an item on Layway and was given a final payment date of 12/30 . I went in today and I was told the item was sold . He also stated that I should've been told I had 2 weeks to get it out mind you I wasn't told this and my receipt had 12/30 . I will never do business with this establishment again!!!!! Do better!!!!

This is a great family owned business fantastic source for money if you need it they pay nearly double money man! If you were looking to shop the store is like a Midwestern department store they have some of everything all good quality obviously I wouldn’t take the time to write this if they had not helped me out!

Update: you offered me $10 off 2 $70 items so not sure where you are getting half off. The ammo I was going to pay full price for and you gave me the price for the ps2s. The only thing we had a discrepancy on was the BROKEN ps4. Then you refused to sell me the rest of the items. Great way to do business.Offered a fair price for a ps4 that was broken going off ebay prices and proved to the owner that they dropped in price from time to time then he refused to sell me the other 160 worth of stuff I had on the counter.....place is a joke when the owner gets proven wrong and kick customers out and refused to sell to them.....will not go back
