Dr. Lehman could have learned a great deal from Charleston’s finest Veterinarian, the late Dr. Merrill Irvin. Dr. Lehman refuses to fax prescriptions to Pet Meds, Chewy, Costco, etc. I guess he wants Clients to use that he is associated with. His personality and mine just clashed. Dr. Lehman gave the impression to me that he was “in it only for the money,” but probably is not true. He had very positive views from Greenville SC before purchasing this Clinic. When he did see my Dog, I may have had 3 - 5 minutes to speak/listen to him and he was out of the exam room. Dr. Irvin always spent a minimum of 15 minutes bonding with my dog every single visit. It is unfortunate the younger Generation of Drs and DVM’s have no bedside manners. I am not a client of his any longer. Dr. Lehman fired me as a client because I missed two surgical appointments. (No excuses). I do not doubt Dr. Lehman’s proficiency. Every Veterinarian can not be like Dr. Irvin was.

My wife’s family had to put their family dog down after 17 years yesterday. And I can not tell you how loving and how patient the staff was there. I was absolutely blown away at the care and support they poured out to my wife’s family and Lucy. That experience was far from easy, but goodness did these staff absolutely shine. I can not recommend these guys enough. Thank you for caring for my wife’s family through that difficult time. You guys truly care for not just the animals but the owners as well. Well done guys. Thank you.

I love the Dr and techs here. They all have helped me in one way or another with our furbaby til she passed recently. I appreciate them all for everything. Thank you for your service team. Keep up the good work.

I love this place they have always been compassionate for all my pets. I am baffled by the only 2 bad reviews that people look at for a reason not to take their pet to Charleston Animal Hospital and one was a unruly customer who has a habit of going around trying to ruin businesses

I was looking for a new veterinarian for my dog and received a recommendation for Dr. Brian Leman. On the first visit I immediately knew I had chosen the right one! Dr. Leman and his staff were so caring and compassionate and spent alot of time in learning about my dog. After doing some bloodwork, he explained everything, and answered all my questions. He started my dog on a supplement for his thyroid and within 6 weeks, my dog had more pep in his step than he had had in several months. Dr. Leman also recommended a couple of new healthy treats that has helped my dog loose a few pounds.
I learned so much in just our first visit. If you are looking for a compassionate, caring and personable veterinarian, I would highly recommend Dr. Brian Leman at Charleston Animal Hospital.

Our outside prescription policies are to prevent mistakes and apparently weed out scumbags like yourself. We hope you don't treat all women the way you treated our receptionist. You're fired! (Mistakes? What in the world could be a mistake? Over a flea medicine? Doctors give out millions of scripts that get verified by pharmacies for Humans every day. So what kind of 2 year old kid response is this? So unprofessional and your office manager wouldn’t be an employee of mine at any of the multiple business’s with hundreds of employees that I run. She was rude from the first visit on. #original review#
My honest review of this scam company Go somewhere better!! Go somewhere they have up to date standard policies. They have some cheaper standard fees so they can upsell you and start by trying to sell high dollar allergy medicine for flea bites. Then want to sell the flea medicine themselves or make you jump through hoops to go somewhere else to get the same medicine for 1/10th the price. If they really cared about your animal they would verify the animal medication with the pharmacy and not make you pick up a copy that has to be mailed in. What’s going to happen in 6months when he needs a refill? So sad. It’s funny how my family member had same thing happen with them. My girlfriend took her dog there for hip pain, they suggested two different medications and when the first didn’t work, they required a revisit to try other option . It’s worse than the dmv and most vets, doctors, hospices wouldn’t be in business with these asinine policies .

Great vet and boarding services. Love this place they have great prices and awesome staff. The vet is always personable and thorough. They don't do unnecessary procedures and understand everyone isn't a millionaire. I also used boarding and have always been happy with the service. The staff is very accommodating and nice. My dog seems very happy and has yet to complain.

We have had nothing but great experiences at Charleston Animal Hospital since moving to the area almost two years ago. Our 9 year old lab has had a variety of issues including a recent hospital stay and Dr. Leman + the staff are always so caring and thorough with him. They always provide us with timely updates and spend lots of time with us when we come in, answering all of our questions by providing options - not just pushing us into a decision. We trust our fur baby always receives the best care when he is there! Highly recommend if you are in the North Charleston + surrounding areas!

Dr. Leman is nothing short of amazing. My family has been going to him for years, from my grandmother, to parents and now onto myself and my fur family. He is very knowledgeable and will lay out every possible treatment plan that best suits you and your animals. I couldn’t recommend anyone more.

We are new to Charleston and have an older English Bulldog who is very difficult. Dr. Leman and his staff have been very patient and accommodating with Henry. Dr. Leman honestly explains what is needed, providing several care options. Thank you, Dr. Leman and your great staff, for taking care of Henry.
