Eric Donahue is a rockstar ! I coordinated from California a cross country move for my almost 80 yr-old in-laws. Eric understood challenges, urgency and task at hand and even though I wasn't local, he took care of everything....working with my in-laws in person to ensure they were comfortable with the entire process. Other companies would not not come onsite to meet and required technology which might be to complex for seniors to virtually identify what needed to be moved. Not Coleman. Eric took care of everything answering any and all questions. We had a very tight timeline which he ensured was met. The entire team supporting him were also excellent !. Moving can be stressful but not with Coleman. If you are in the Charleston area, you need to contact Coleman and ask for Eric !

Having moved over 15 times, I can truly say this move was one of the post pleasant, even if not the smoothest. All the employees were eager to help way beyond normal boundaries. The driver was a spectacular human being, as were all those on his team in Charleston. Only one came with him to Virginia Beach, and no one showed up to help the two of them to unload until the last few hours. Regardless of the difficulty of having to unload alone, both workers gave their all at all times. Thank you!

The team of movers was outstanding. Each of the three gentlemen was very polite, professional, and quick. They wrapped our furniture with extreme care using heavy moving blankets. We Couldn't have been happier. I highly recommend using Coleman Worldwide. AJB

After showing up 5 hours after scheduled and breaking a bottle of wine and claiming that’s how it was when they got there they refused to move anything and left. I called to ask why and they said the clothes were on the floor and provided me a picture of clothes in a box and the fridge still had food even though we were leaving the fridge and claimed we asked them to move dirty dishes which we also did not plan on taking with us

Our move was flawless - showed up when they said they would, delivered on time. Eric was extremely helpful with the prep.

Eric was fantastic. Efficient and thorough walk through initially. Always responsive. Packers and movers arrived on time. The driver Calvin was also extremely helpful. Overall very positive experience.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had moving. Most of my furniture is scratched dented or damaged. Their claims process is horrible. The driver told me they left the truck out in a field for a week before they delivered it to my new house. The driver then went to sleep in the truck because he was over his hours. One man and a 63-year-old woman (she told me her age) unloaded my 2500 square foot house in the back of that truck. My things were infested with red ants when they got to me. I personally watched one of the movers scrape my $800 dresser across the moving van floor upside down like it was trash. They easily damaged 10-15k in furniture. I'm beside myself. I seriously thought that I could trust the fact they were associated with Allied Moving.

I would give this company a ZERO, but it isn't one of the choices. I am still reeling from the unprofessional and appalling experience I had using this company. Boxes were not labeled, lightbulbs and fine wine glasses were at the bottom of boxes with toolboxes and kitchen appliances on top of them. I paid almost $8,000.00 for them to unpack me. Boxes were opened, and items were tossed onto bathroom, bedroom and closet floors. Furniture was put back together incorrectly and even box springs were not unwrapped from the plastic before they put the bed back together. The communication was nearly non-existent. They under estimated the weight and have yet to give me a credit for the amount due to me. Two TVs are missing. I was told by the estimator that all food items (excluding aerosol sprays) would be packed and shipped with my load. On the day of packing, the packers refused to pack my food. I had to rent a UHAUL, fly a friend out from California, and have him drive my food to Florida. This company should lose their license. Kathy VandenBerghe Mt Pleasant, SC

STOLEN AND DAMAGED FURNITURE-We moved a large home from Greenville, NC to temporary storage (Beaufort SC) with final destination to Bluffton, SC. Many items (bicycles, outdoor furniture stolen) and unspeakable damage to high end furniture and antiques!! Coleman Allied (Jeff Yontz) the worst as far as assisting with a report police department!! His only help was "fill out your claim form). I would not trust this company with anything!!

Like many things, your experience with this company will depend entirely on who arrives at your house. The first crew (who was supposed to pack) was truly awful. Packed about half of our 2 bedroom apartment, left at 1 pm. The second crew (who was supposed to move stuff onto the truck) was EXCEPTIONALLY good! Shoutout to Dottie, Troy, Yvonne, and Lamont. They went above and beyond-testing the boxes for stackability and when they found the ones that weren't packed correctly, they opened them up and repacked them. This added hours to their already long workday. I felt so bad for them having to do their job and the first team's job in a day. I would give 5 stars to the second crew and 1 to the first, so averaging it to 3. The operations manager was supposed to our apartment to see some of the horribly packed boxes left by the first crew (and bring reasonably sized book boxes) but they had someone else bring the boxes, never came up to see. Examples of horrible packing: hanging clothes thrown into a big box while backpacks were tossed into a wardrobe box. A huge box (4.5 I think?) filled with books. This thing must weigh 200 lbs, not sure how anyone is going to lift it. Bottom line: if you can get the A-team (Dottie, Yvonne, Troy, Lamont) you will have a very smooth move. Maybe you could request them? Otherwise, rolling the dice.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We moved from Charleston area to Charlotte NC. They stored our furniture for 9 months. Upon delivery 80% of the items they delivered were either damaged soiled, or water damaged. Then a large amount of items were missing. After them being non responsive we hired an attorney 3 months after delivery. After 3 months of provided a video, still pictures, receipts etc... They have offered a settlement for damaged items and refusing to pay for all of my expensive rugs along with some antiques. They have said I signed an inventory showing only 2 rugs and they delivered 2 rugs I had a 6000 square foot home with hundreds and hundreds of items on it. It is insulting as well as ridiculous . They have delivered me 10 out of my 16 rugs. So are they saying they gave me 8 rugs that were not mine? I have provided receipts and pictures along with a video of my home showing all the rugs. They had the nerve to say "it is not unusual for clients to change their mind the day of the move on what they are bringing". We have spent 10 k in legal fees so now we have to decide if we should bring it to ligation. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPNAY

DO NOT hire this company. I would have to write a book to say how bad they were but in a nutshell. We moved from Kiawah Island, SC to Charlotte, NC. They stored our entire house for 9 months. We called to say we were ready. From start to finish it was a nightmare. 80% of what they delivered was damaged. Missing were all my expensive bedroom rugs along with others as well as some antique pieces. We tried for 4 months to get people to talk to us. Finally hired an attorney. Have paid over 10k of attorney fees over the last 3 months and they sent us a FINAL settlement after months of giving them everything they wanted. I had a video and still pics of my entire house. They have sent a settlement for the damages but refusing to pay for all of my rugs as well as antiques. Their stance is that I signed some inventory saying I only had 2 rugs. Ridiculous seeing that out of my 16 rugs they have delivered 10. So I am out over 50k unless I want to continue to litigation. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY

Absolutely horrible experience—company took longer than expected to move and pack, were understaffed where instead of taking 2 days they took 3 days. They moved our stuff onto a smaller truck (we have a 2400 square foot house), had to unload everything and reload onto another truck. Packed things incorrectly—missing an entire beds hardware, my baby’s crib part, broken items (put a glass vase in a box without wrapping it) amongst other missing items (including all of the legs to our furniture). They stated they could make another trip from SC to VA to bring the rest of the stuff—2.5 weeks later. Still missing items including our bed parts—instead of offering to potentially just replace those parts, It was told that it would take 3 months for a full “investigation” until anything was done. Additionally, the crew that was supposed to take everything apart pretty much told my husband that if we wanted it moved then he would have to take it apart cause they didn’t have an Allen wrench. These are only some of the things we encountered as it is too much to write. Absolutely worst experience with any company I’ve ever encountered.
