My son accidentally left his school book bag with his school computer in it. Avis and their amazing employee, Wendy, worked to find it and get it back to us as quickly as possible. So thankful for their efforts and professionalism.

Gives no information. Online, tells my travel agent plenty of cars. In person, only have mini vans, maybe….In line 1.5 hours with priority. Did not have enough cars and had no customer service.Even with a reservation, people are at the counter 20 minutes min.Staff takes breaks randomly.Other counters at chs, you ask, they give accurate information.

I am an Avis preferred customer and continue to have problems with the service that should allow me to go directly to my car. I end up having to waste valuable time at the counter to pickup my vehicle. Unacceptable in my book!

CHS was completely overbooked, a crowd of disgruntled customers formed at the garage que, were taken one by one in a white van to sat. Lot where cleaning was occurring. Eric was nice and kept his cool. Bad situation, delayed my trip & stressful.

My car rental experience with AVIS was nothing short of a nightmare. I was left waiting for over 2 hours for a car, only to then go downstairs and wait again for another vehicle. When I returned my car, I was overcharged, but unfortunately, there was only one person at the returns counter. Despite my best efforts to wait for my receipt and ensure the accuracy of my charges, I had to leave to catch my flight. It was only later that I realized I had been overcharged. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience with AVIS - I had a similar experience in Virginia. I urge you to avoid renting from AVIS and save yourself the trouble.

Terrible. 2 hour line with no urgency or caring from staff, they would leave on 30-45min breaks while the line grew and grew.

Waited 2 hours to pickup rental. Further, we reserved a luxury suv but received a 4 door sedan.

Waited in line at the Charleston SC airport Avis over an hour. One person working. Dropped car 7am and someone yelled “leave keys in car”.

I reserved my car online to be picked up in the town of Somerville, South Carolina where the base price was lower than at the airport. Our flight was late, so I called nine hours ahead of my pick time to let Avis know I would be picking up my car sometime after noon rather than the 10:30AM pick up time on my reservation. I asked the Phone agent to be sure to enter that on my reservation. He assured me that he did, however I later found he did not. He told me I could come as late as I need to after noon. I spent $32 to get a car from the airport to Summerville. when I arrived at the Avis office in Somerville at 12:30 PM, THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED. I called Avis and was told to come to the airport to pick up the car. i Spent another $32 to return to the airport. this was a 1.5 hour ordealOnce at the airport, I waited IN LINE FOR ANOTHER HOUR, I was late too an event i had planned. At that point I decided I had to rent an extra day to have time to do what I came for. The agent told me there were only 2 cars for 15 people. they were scrambling to get cars at this international airport.I asked the supervisor to honor the price AVIS confirmed in my reservation. He did not. I asked if I could return the car to the town of Charleston, rather than the airport. He confirmed and told me twice that I could for a charge of $25. When I brough the car to the drop off in town, I was told I could NOT drop it there because they didn't have room to park it (however there were at least 10 empty spots.1. The base price at the airport was MUCH HIGHER than my confirmed base price.2. Because the office in the town of my pick up was closed, I spent $64 and an hour to get back to the airport3. I had to rent two days rather than one due to delays at a higher base price.4. I could not return the car in town as assured by the supervisor at the airport.Communication in this organization is horrible.

Here I am standing in line in an empty parking garage waiting for an employee to shuttle 3 people at a time to their cars. People have been waiting for at least an hour and a half. No explanation, no customer service rep waiting in the garage with us to give updates. I've used Avis for years and have never had problems. This is the sorriest excuse of an Avis experience that I have encountered

I was pleasantly surprised with everything regarding my Avis rental. The quality of the vehicle and service was very good and the price was very reasonable! Good job Avis!
