Every time I go to worship in this church I feel so much of the lord’s presence and love. I need forgiveness and blessings after a stressful work week. The pastors that give us our message, and at times some of the children in the church. It feeds my soul which gets me in a much better head space for the week ahead. I strongly recommend this church. Very welcoming, non judgemental and comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful environment. They have the best teachers that I have ever encountered and they truly treat my family like family. If my kids could go through the 12th grade here we would with no questions asked. From the director to the assistant director, every teacher, and aftercare….everyone is wonderful! There is a certain peace that a mother gets when she can send her kids somewhere for the day and know that they are fully taken care of.

This review is for the Mother’s Day Out program. Both of my boys (5 yo and 5 months old) attend their MDO program and I’ve had only positive experiences here with both. The teachers genuinely care and do their best to work with you. I’m a very picky mom and these are people I trust...and that’s huge for me! They know everyone who walks through the door and safety is their priority. You can tell they care deeply and do their best. I’ve popped in early before to grab my baby and saw he was being held and rocked and it just made my heart leap for joy to know he was getting the care he deserves. Highly recommend First Baptist Church of North Augusta for their Mother’s Dat Out program.

This August of 2021, our son began 4K. We were hesitant due to our past year spent but continue because we had only heard great things about his teacher; Megan.Dana, the head of the preschool, relayed to parents that only one could be present. The church has a large and accommodating auditorium so we asked that we both be present. They said only divorced parents could both come. Gabriel and I both wanted to be a part of the meeting because we both want to be apart of his education. Dana ended up emailing everyone that both could come because their auditorium was large enough to accommodate. The first day of school, our son was hit in the face by an older/larger student in after care. When I went to pick him up, his assistant teacher said there was an issue on the playground. Carolyn said a friend of my son had notified her that he had been hit but when she asked our son, he didn’t say much. He was really upset and mad when I picked him up. It took about two minutes for me to figure out what had happened. 1. Who hit you? 2. Where does it hurt? Two simple questions that shouldn’t be investigated with by his teacher. We called his teacher, Megan, to ask further. She and Dana both continued to say, “It’s important for your son to tell a teacher.”His friend who saw the accident did! But they failed to spend the time to find out anything further. I spoke with megan on the phone and she said, “It was a mere accident and the student is learning how to be in social situations.”Dana’s response was:“We certainly hope no one gets hurt while at school, however; it would be helpful to remind Michayah that if he is ever injured, to please notify a teacher on duty so the injury can be treated properly and the situation handled.”They were notified and failed to do their job.Nothing was done with the other student. It was chalked as being our son’s fault since he didn’t speak up… even though his friend stood up for him and notified the teacher. (Thankful for that 4 yo doing more than a teacher!) My son is FOUR. It is the teacher’s responsibility to investigate someone being hurt. Not to blame a mere child. When I asked my son why he was scared to tell the teacher, he said it was because this boy was a bigger kid.I was then notified by a friend/mother that my son, on the first week of school, was given to her at after school pick up. That was alarming to me that my child would be so easily handed to the wrong parent. The very next day when I went to pick up my child from after school care, I was given the wrong child! What?! No one checked a name tag, looked at my name sheet to show my child’s name, and he was brought down the stairs. It wasn’t until I said, “That’s not my kid”, did they realize.I brought this security concern to Dana directly. Her response was,” This happened two weeks ago.” 1. It hadn’t been two weeks. 2. No matter when this happened, it needs to be addressed. My delay in sharing this was I wanted to speak about this concern in person. We were then met with an email that stated:“We are sorry we are not meeting your needs or expectations. Please feel free to find another program that is better suited for your family. A refund will be issued minus the class time attended, supplies and aftercare time used.” — Dana, Director. We were being dismissed from the school. They also told us we were issues for wanting to both be present at the meet and greet.Dana, any interaction or conversation I’ve had with you… I always walked away thinking you were condescending and rude. This has been spoken about you by many other parents we know but we continued to put our child there because you weren’t his actual teacher. You were very unprofessional in handling our child being hit and our concern for his safety. This doesn’t rest any parent’s worries being dismissed when these issues arise.

My Daughter was in Mrs. Womack class, and I have to say she will always be a unforgettable teacher. My husband deployed the first week school started and Mrs. Womack went above and beyond. She on made the time her dad was gone fly by because she enjoyed going to school everyday.Mrs. Womack is a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of emphasis into how she presents the material. Her lessons were engaging, useful, and she was very patient and encouraging. I would highly recommend Mrs. Womack, especially to military families moving here, and needing a good transition for their children into a school.

Small town church feel with big church amenities. The Sr. Pastor knows most to all by first name and everyone always makes you feel welcome. It feels like a home away from home.

I did go to a church service at this church a year are so ago ,because a dear friend of mine had joined. She was new in North Augusta and thought the mhiinister was the best and thgy hugs 9 hie choir was top notch. I was on my way back to Mississippi. I did attend Sunday school with her the day i attended. People fairly nice but appeared to be judgemental of this friend of mine. She had joined the choir shortly after she joined this church. HOW SAD. This friend had surgery over a month ago. (The high and mighty minister never called or visited her.)My understanding that he just doesn t do that. ( Busy, Busy.) (He has no time for this service to his flock) SHAME ON HIM. Plus the choir and music director never bothered to check on her. She did have a couple of reach outs from her Sunday School class.,But their calls soon stopped. This lady is a senior has a very low income , really has no family. She Drives a car that is in need of repairs. Lives in an old trailer that also needs repair. Wow. What a disappointment for a church to treat their less fortunate, shut ins.and members of their church. SAD SAD.
