It's never fun to need to get checked out for something while on vacation, but this urgent care was great- throughout entire process of checkin, helping with my issue, and helping keep me calm through my anxiousness. Very professional staffing.

I’ve come here multiple times and have had great service each time. Dr. Vandergriff has Ben relaxed, down to earth and gives me a genuine demeanor each time. I recently moved to the area and stressed about finding a new PCP. This place is great.
My son who is severely autistic also came here for a facial injury that needed stitches, also had a great experience as far as that experience can be.
The staff was kind and understanding.
For the negative reviews I’ve read here it has been a polar opposite experience for me and my family.
Glad you all are so close to our new house.

Terrible, terrible - do not go to this location. They charged us and doctor spent 25 seconds in the room, had no patience to interact with our son or my husband. Reluctant to explain what the diagnosis is or what they could offer to help with. Told us to go to hospital, probably to close up early and take money from tourists. 171 dollars charged for nothing of value.

Dismissive and not at all thorough. Wouldn’t even let us ask questions. Less than 20 mins in the office including the time we waited. When you’ve been sick for over 12 days and haven’t slept, this is not at all a good look. Will be switching primary care Doctors.

Great acre. We've seen Rachel and Alisha several times. They've been so amazing. Great for our children, and they've been the cheapest cash price in the area we could find. We've gone here for 5 years. No regrets.

if from out of town and have an issue needing medical attention that doesn't merit a trip to the ER, this facility is a godsend. No doubt wait-times vary by how busy they are at any given time, but the check-in process, checking vitals, being seen by doctor, and getting an Rx sent to local pharmacy, all occurred in about an hour (no one in waiting room when I arrived). and yes, I had ID, insurance cards and means of payment with me upon arrival as they are requested during check-in process (done online using my cell phone). My out of pocket was $100. No appointments.

This is a good urgent care, clean, friendly employees and great nurse practices! They seem to always be on top of things!

As a response below i have not ever wrote a review on your business. However lets go into detail. 3 weeks ago i called to schedule an appointment. After being on hold for 20 mins someone picked up the phone and placed it on the desk. I heard several patience information while they were checking in and out. I then called back asked to speak to a manager and was lied to by Someone. I finally made the appointment. When i cam in for my made appointment i was told "as of last week insurance changed you have to call in and get Racheals name as your primary and i need the ref number. Now 2 more lies by your staff. Racheal isnt a doctor so no way to have her as my primary and second when i made the new appointment for the 1st no ref number was needed. So lets continue... i come in the 1st with my new born and my wife. They said the appointment was for the 2nd. Another lie by your office.... you can see a trend forming. So i wait and this morning i get a call by a rude lady saying Reachel wasnt going to be in... i can sit and wait as a walk in. I said maybe i need to look for another doctor her reply was good bye. Rude, disrespectful, hipa violations, careless woth personal info, not trained, and liars! I will follow up with hipa as well. NOW EVERYONE DO YOUSELF A FAVOR IF THEY DONT CARE ABOUT WHO HEARS YOUR PERSONAL INFO NO TELLING WHAT ELSE THEY DO WITH IT!

DO NOT go here… 100% liars. I was told to bring a picture of my insurance account # and address for bills etc… so they can get paid due to me not having the actual card. They said Ok come in. I get there and they will not even accept for me to pay ? my own money and file after having what I was told to bring. Why would I even make an appointment and show up if I was told that they can’t help me. Waste of time and money. Very poor customer service. Beware…

The provider my daughter was seen by was amazing but we had a few other issues with this office. I called 2 different times to get a referral from this office they sent them out to places that wernt seeing anyone until march of 2025 and one that was not covered for us . I called back to see if there was another resolution for my 4 month old to keep her comfortable until an appointment could be made . The new girl who answered the phone after I asked in 4 different ways would not help find a resolution or ask the provider without me asking for a supervisor. When I asked the girl for the supervisor she sent me to her voicemail so I called back because if not I was planning on just stopping in the office in person to address this. The next time I called someone else answered and they just gave me the office manager who claims she was listening to the entire call and standing above the new associate and she refused to listen to what we were saying as well because she was to quick to defend her associate so the whole transfer the phone call was some weird game they play she transferred me with the office manager I guess standing next to her?. I had 3 people around me listening to the conversation of how the lady on the other end of the phone was saying the complete opposite of what we were asking her to make the situation uncomfortable. I was going to address this right then and there with the office manager but out of fear she would take it out on my 4 month old and not talk to provider i said nothing. Needless to say my child recieved proper care elsewhere. I made the review so others could see hear ut my experience but after reading the other bad reviews here all you see if the person responsible for responding to these concerns and reviews gets extremely defensive and ugly about it . Hopefully they do better in the future.

Worst place on earth, horrible doctor if that’s what you even call it… J Vance Vandergriff do not use him as a provider unless you want to be dismissed from the very first interaction. I took my daughter for what I thought was a serious incident and the doctor didn’t even believe my story or the situation. I’ve never had that happen before. If you feel like being talked to like you’re an idiot and if you want a provider to not believe you, definitely recommend going here. I won’t ever go back and don’t recommend wasting your time either. Angry is an understatement.

I’m conflicted about how I feel about this doctor’s office. I love Rachel Dorr who I’ve seen for nearly two years now at the office, I love the location, and appts have always been easy to schedule. However, I can’t stand the fact that somehow, there’s always some glitch or miscommunication that happens with refilling my prescriptions.
Either I’m suddenly not allowed to get them filled when I need them, due to some random note that wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place, which a doc filling in for Rachel put in my file — or there’s a miscommunication between the pharmacy and the doctor’s office — or they send it to the wrong pharmacy even though I specified when I called in the refill where it needed to go. No matter the reason, it’s happened way too many times.
Honestly, at this point, it feels like a crapshoot if I’ll be able to get my stuff filled on time every month because there seems to be something that goes wrong every other month. It’s exhausting.
And then when I call the office because my pharmacy turns me away and tells me they can’t refill the prescription, due to some problem on the office’s end, the staff treats me like I’m the crazy one or like I should’ve done something differently, even though their system/staff getting stuff mixed up in the first place is the reason why I’m panicking now about not being able to get it filled.
I don’t plan to go anywhere else because I really don’t have a problem with anything else at this office. But man, I’m just so sick of this happening. I really hope it can get improved.

Love this office and everyone there! They've been great to my family, and the front office lady Kay is easy on the eyes so it's always nice seeing her ?

Went there twice in September after I clearly had a sinus infection and in clear pain the Doctor told me it will pass just keeping drinking water because I didn’t have COVID or the FLU… went back a week later after my throat was swollen to the point I could barely eat. The Practitioner asked why the Doctor didn’t put me on any antibiotics or test me for strep throat? Fast forward 6 months later I get a statement from them in the mail saying this is third time they’ve tried to reach me (Was only the first) and that I owe $291.00 for both those visits. This place is highway robbery. Go somewhere else folks don’t waste your time here.

I arrived at Strand Urgent Care earlier today to have a handicap placard filled out for asthmatic problems. Everything was well until Dr. Joseph V. Vandergriff came through the consultation room door. He did not introduce himself nor greet me or my boyfriend, he said,”Nope. Not happening.” Dr. Vandergriff was so crude that I was certain it was a jest, but I was unfortunately mistaken, he was being serious.Dr. Vandergriff did not ask me any questions regarding my asthmatic problems, but proceeded to tell me what medicine I needed to reduce inflammation in my lungs. Dr. Vandergriff said.” You do not deserve a handicap placard because there are a million people with asthma that don’t have handicap placards.” To further support his denial of my handicap placard he said, “I would be infuriated if I saw someone your age get out of a car in a handicap spot, asthma is not going to get you a handicap placard. I have denied patients request for handicap placard because of knee pain/injury before, it’s not going to be that easy.” I realized then that he was not going to help me, so I requested that my boyfriend and I leave.Dr. Vandergriff did not show us out, he proceeded to walk out of the room in a haste and to his office where I heard him laugh and talk about what was just said between us. I have never had a more unprofessional experience. Dr. Vandergriff made me feel unimportant, undeserving, and all around like I wasted his time.
