I had the most wonderful experience with Southern Auto Mart. Everyone was so kind and so professional they took their time and explained everything about the process that we had to go through. They went above and beyond to make us feel so cared for in purchasing a car….great people …..great place. Thanks to the staff there on 501 in Myrtle Beach SC.

THIS PLACE IS SHADY AND SELLS LEMONS!!!!!!!! THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF UNSUSPECTING MINORS!!!!!! Sold a car to my MINOR sister with no guardian present. Allowed her 18 year old friend to test drive, but only around the parking lot (can’t go more than like 10mph). Rose sold it to her with “no issues other than cosmetic”. There were no lights on the dash or apparent issues before purchase. Within 5 miles after closing the deal and driving it off the lot it was clear it was unsafe and unfit to drive. Immediately the engine light, no traction steering, brake light, nails in the tires, and more! It was less than 24 hours when I returned with her to express our concerns about safety and to take up on the 7 day “no matter what” warranty listed multiple times on the website. She immediately met us with a terrible attitude, yelling and would not let us speak without interruption. I tried to remain civil she would not stop yelling over me, so I began to raise my voice as well. She then threatened to call the cops for harassment. I then called the cops myself to have a mediated conversation and she refused to speak with us entirely. This is the slimiest shadiest business I have EVER encountered. I would advise ANY AND EVERYONE to find a car anywhere else.

I bought a ford F150, ignition broke in 3 days, Rose didn't do anything to help, I lost $8,000, they lied to me saying it was low on oil, this is the worst auto shop in the south, no one should buy cars there store.

I wanted to share an experience at this dealership with Rose. We were looking to trade in a truck that was older and we told her what we were looking for and the budget we had to work with. It did take some time, however, Rose got us into a newer Dodge Ram 1500, that was perfect for us. Please don’t hesitate to give the smaller car dealerships a try because one thing that makes them stand out from the larger ones is attention to details in what you want and that one on one relationship. They don’t try to force you into something. If they don’t have it, they will definitely get it for you and contact you. So stop in y’all and go see Rose! ??Thank you!

My son found a truck he liked on their website. Called Georgetown spoke to the man about the truck, who was extremely helpful and pleasant, after discussing things with him he felt he had one on the Myrtle beach lot better suited. We drove all the way from Georgetown to Myrtle Beach to look at the other truck he recommended. Was greeted by a woman who wasn’t the nicest from the beginning but we continued to talk to her. Once I told her I was purchasing the vehicle for my son she automatically stopped me and said if he’s not the buyer then there’s no need to go any further. I explained my son was 17 could not go into legal contract. She proceeded to tell me they would not finance it because if he wasn’t on the insurance then the insurance wouldn’t pay for the vehicle. I explained to her he was on my insurance and I made more than enough money to make payments on the vehicle. She said she would talk to the owner and let me know. She then walked around the lot a few minutes then walked back in the trailer and never returned. Before we went up there I did not realize they were a buy here pay here establishment, which shouldn’t matter, but she made it clear that they were and that was why they would not finance me. She never ran my credit, never looked at my payment history on any of my other purchases, never took any information. She judged me for looking at a vehicle at a buy here pay her lot. We drove down the road and gave someone else our money.

Rose just hung up on me, and I am telling that I want to do business. What great customer service. What Grade A. And the Cheraw location wasn't any better. Such class. She was so apologetic for the other person at the Cheraw location, but she still RUDE.

After a horrible experience for me and the Myrtle beach location with my previous car, I wouldn’t have wanted it to happen with another place. Rose was so help and so apologetic for what happened. Not only was Rose so helpful but so was the owner. After not being able to get my car back December 23rd as planned, they were able to help me and get me into a new car Christmas Eve!! Myrtle beach southern auto mart is so helpful and will do what the can to make anything right!!
