This is the only spot around your going to be able to get a hot dog, a scoop of ice cream, and a beer at 2 in the morning.Yeah the service is meh, but blame the educational system of South Carolina.Tourists complain about staff when they fail to realize the that they are in a state in which does not care about education.These are facts. Cut these humans some slack and understand the situation that they find themselves stuck in.Remember, the minimum wage is $7.25 an hour and has been for over 10 years here.To the J1's visiting: Remember the poorest areas in your home country in which your people consider it to be a "bad" area. This is that area to local US citizens.

Went to the mini mart after a long day at my daughter’s volleyball tournament. Cute, small store with an awesome employee named Missy who was friendly and willing to pose for picture when my daughter and her friend asked. It made their day and we had some laughs. So glad we stopped by.

I’m waiting with my hands full to check out and lady has paperwork on counter, treating me like I am invisible. When she finally cleared the counter she acted like I was just “bothering” her. Rude and unprofessional. Don’t run a business if this is how you are going to treat your customers.

Friendly staff but way overpriced. 10 dollars for a package of lunch meat that was "bloated" meaning there was bacteria forming on it and it had a strong odor even though it wasn't expired. Save yourself about 60 dollars for just a few items and go to Walmart instead.

Hard to rate a place that is supposed to be open at 7 am. We went at 8 am and they were closed up.

A man ran my child down in the street and tackled him then threatened to shoot him assuming he stole something when he did not! My child was with a friend and I was not there at the time or that store worker would be in jail. What he did to my child was totally against the law!

The lady that works Sunday nights was incompetent and rude. I walked in with my mother and my mother bought alcohol. I had my mother's card in my pocket with HER name on the card. I gave it back to my mother upon her purchase. The lady insisted on carding me when it wasn't my debit card (debit card is in my mother's name) and wasn't my alcohol purchase. Regardless, I went back to the hotel to get my ID, I'm 35 and she didn't even look at my ID. It was all a game to her. I asked her if she cards everyone who are accompanied with people purchasing alcohol. She said yes. I asked if she cards little children too. She wasnt logical. She was more bent on catching someone doing something wrong. This was how debased and unprofessional the woman was. She actually said it was the law to card the accompanied party of the purchaser of alcohol ( of course she didn't speak as eloquently). All she had to do was admit she was wrong when my mother showed her the debit card was hers and it matched the name on her ID. Her pride and lack of professionalism prevented her from doing so. I will not be going back when I am treated this poorly. Get some class lady!
