We purchased 2 beach items from this store and attempted to bring it back a few days later because our villa had the items we needed for use of thir guests. Both items were brand new and unopened. Despite the online cash back 30 day return policy for all the stores they would not accept the return. The store employee and manager told us the district manager Brandi M has took it upon herself to undermine the company rules and she does not allow returns on beach items at any store she oversees even if they are unopened. We have escalated this to coorporate and awaiting a call back however we were forced to bring these items in our luggage which was a massive inconvinience. If they wont accept the return in our home town ill be contacting the BBB. Needless to say i will never be going to any dollar general stores ever again over this unpleasant experience and i will always advocate to as many people as i can to not shop at dollar general when i share my story. Im surprised large corporate company has a very clear policy that even district manager employees cannot follow.

Honestly this location has come a long way in terms of service. They have finally gotten pleasant employees again. They also changed the music and it's very upbeat. I find myself shopping longer sometimes just because I like a song. They are keeping it stocked and better organized. This location is convenient for me so I am so thankful for the positive changes.

This dollar general picks and choose who they let use the restroom. They don’t care if you’re a paying customer. I got off work and drove there to grab some snacks for the house cause I know my ride home takes 45 mins they have 2 restrooms but says there out of service. No other dollar general in Myrtle beach does that too there customers.

Card machine down and also out of change, so had to get some medicine, took the change. At least I'm looking for a change of scenery

I Really enjoyed my experience at this dollar general everyone was so helpful the manager Jo Jo was very sweet and helpful and the assistant manager Zane helped me Find everything I was looking for even the cashier miss Tay was very sweet I highly recommend this store if you are looking for great service Thank you dollar general for finding this amazing staff❤️?

Amber was absolutely amazing ! She needs management asap if she isn’t already she handled an entire line by her self while another guy just walked around , she called him 4x and finally he came around she’s super friendly and super patient

Wasn't expecting much from this place because of the horrible reviews but it was on the way home. Store was actually clean and customer service was really nice. We didn't get the checker's name and I can't find it on the receipt. Very polite

If I could give them 0 stars I would.. Don't come into this store with children of special needs. If you correct your kids not even spank them but correct them. If your child let's out a cry from not getting their way. Their employees will assume your beating your kids and will talk about you and your children loud enough for you to hear. So I addressed them about their assumptions. And they wanted to act naive like I didn't hear them in 2 different aisles talk about someone beating their kids. Hearing them say This store always have people with kids that don't no how to act. How about not assuming anything and being mindful because you never know someone situations or journey in life. This place is unprofessional, and I'm a local. I'll spend my money at wal mart or Food Lion or big lots. I don't feel comfortable going into this store. I come here frequently, and now since they reopen since the GM went on medical leave, these new employees are rude and unprofessional. It's us locals and tourists that keep stores like them open. Very unpleased with them.
