Whenever we visit my parents who live in Myrtle Beach we sign up for the week pass at this YMCA. It's really clean, well maintained and the staff are super friendly!! The pool is excellent and lap swim hours are perfect for my spouse, who is an avid swimmer! He's never had to wait for a lane. Dry sauna is also wonderful-coed in the pool area. A small amount of lifting machines and equipment but enough to get the job done! Might be a short wait on a machine you need to use but people do not linger on their cellphones at machine stations here. Clients/members are very respectful of each other. This Y also has a large parking lot. I also love that the dog park and paved walking trails are right next door!! Not much to view on the walking trail (ie nature/varied birds) but for hiking/biking it's perfect.

The youth soccer program is super disappointing! Between the registration fee and the fee to play soccer, we pay a lot of money for our children to play on your teams. Your coaches are even volunteers! But when your child's team wins the entire championship as mine did, they get absolutely NOTHING to show for it! I mean nothing! Usually a championship team will receive a trophy, a cheap medal or at least some kind of award but after all their hard work and winning, they do not receive a single thing to show they were the championship winners! That is so wrong and you really upset a lot of children! Do better YMCA!!

This Y sucks as they do not honor Y membership from other areas. That is the whole point to having the global Y membership. They did have it back in 2020.

Really disappointed that they charge $15 DOLLARS for a day pass even when you are already part of the Nationwide YMCA program. This feels like a money grab by this "family" and "Christian" organization. I arrived at 7PM, with two operating hours remaining are they informed me without empathy, care, or understanding that they don't do prorated times, or a 24 hour guest pass. It's just a poor business model and I would hope that the greedy owners would revise their business plan to better.

We utilized their program for homeschoolers during the week for gym and swim. The staff are kind and professional. The building is well kept and a wonderful facility.

The facility is set off the main road, next to a large dog park. The staff is friendly and they offer a nice variety of activities - both individual or with an instructor.

Not a part of the National Y membership! Y members should not have to pay $15 a day to use another Y. Should change their name to reflect non Y affliation.

They do not accept nation wide members and were not really friendly. We could not approach the desk until allowed? And acted like they really didn’t want to mess with us. Told us it would be 15 dollars a piece. First YMCA to ever experience this and I travel a lot hence the nation wide membership. I was with my 15 yo dtr.

No one answers the phone, or calls you back.It’s not a nation wide, because it’s a tourist town?!!! Please! Myrtle beach is so run down and nasty!They charge 15$ for an out of state Y member!

The overall manager tapped my wife on the arm while she was on a moving treadmill because the bottle cap from her bottled water fell under an adjacent treadmill. In several other incidents a personal trainer named Marion or Marriam told us to move from a machine because her time is more valuable than ours. I told her to wait, and she complained. My wife left for another machine. This place is run by an obese overall manager that is unsafe and rude, who should not be allowed to run a fitness center based on his lack of understanding fitness, and his unsafe actions.
