Carmax Corporate completely screwed me and hard hit my credit three times, making mistake after mistake. DO NOT recommend Jasmine in sales over the phone. Brendan and Ricky at CarMax Myrtle Beach did everything to make it right!!!! 1000/10 would recommend buying a car from them. They went above and beyond to improve my experience and make things as smooth as possible.

I paid $650 something to have a perfect vehicle shipped in. I know the rules...I went there in person to ensure my travel gap being out of town was not going to be a problem with my 10 day money back guarantee. It was not so I ordered the vehicle and paid shipping. Non refundable. I went to see it today and they would not let me have the 24 hour test drive as they advertise and I verbally and online told the guy I wanted. Today I was told it doesn't apply to Corvette. Nothing says that but that's the policy. Ok move on, I had to have a sales guy ride with me because it was a corvette. What, nothing says that. Ok let's look at the car. The hood was sticking up in the front with a big gap. Not factory it had been removed or replaced. Front grill. Up top, it was clear it had been removed and replaced. Rear bumper had marks obvious on both sides like someone pushed it with their feet on wet paint. L rear quarter panel had been very cheaply pained. Below drivers door lots of mess scratches a slab of something. Oddly only started behind the front low, quarter panel which was fine. How can that happen? So, it appears that the front quarter panel had been replaced. So on almost all sides had body damage but on their report, nothing. Looks like multiple body repair panels, no 24 hour test as they advertise...I walked sucking up the $650 shopping I paid.
Not one person cared enough to catch me leaving or call or text or email me and apologize or try to save the sale. That is very telling. I consider it poor management. This vehicle is a mess all over the lower body and now I paid for them to sell it locally. I'm not a bit concerned with the shipping. But they should have tried to save the sale.
Oh yes, the guy with me kept saying all these things were fully inside Car Max acceptable standards. Really? They use that line to not repair anything the company or buyer finds bad. They must have terribly low acceptable standards. Oh yes also, the passenger seat had wear and color off all over it, at 35,000 miles. Wow really?

The associate filling out our paperwork was fairly new. We were there for 5 hours. One of the managers stepped in and helped out. They were all very friendly and helpful. After all that time still had to go back to correct some paperwork.

Bought a car from here 3 years ago tried to trade my car in for something new ,they ran my credit over 8 times the first few times they ran my credit with someone else name on mines then after that they just gave me the runaround telling me that they would make sure I get my vehicle knowing the whole time they was fulll of crap run from this place all they do is sell you dreams and lies I still end up with no car

First time in 10 years purchasing a car. The vehicle I wanted turned out to have some issues, but there is always a ram in the bush!!! I thank God for Mr. Joseph Scott and his dynamic team!!! I would definitely recommend. Mr. Scott was amazing, and he genuinely cared!!! God bless Joseph Scott and team!!!

Just not a good experience. I wanted to purchase a vehicle from CarMax and use my existing car as a trade in. The morning of, I went to Edmunds and received a trade-in value. When I arrived at CarMax I was directed to scan a QR code and get the trade in from Car Max which they claim they use Edmunds. I was shocked to find the offer $3,000 less then what I received earlier in the day. I asked the young lady if someone could look at it but it sounded like a big ordeal. She stated that the appraisals have been coming down. I decided to use Carvana which offered me a fair value for my vehicle.

We bought a Mustang from CarMax and the process was very easy. The car was as described and just what we wanted. We did have a problem with a bad battery and CarMax replaced it without a problem.
The purchase process was much better then dealing with a car dealership. I knew up front what i was going to pay and there was no haggling or addons after the price was agreed to. We looked at a car at a dealership and after the price was established they added almost $2500 to the price with THEIR addons.
I would deal with CarMax again.
