I hate this place and its clueless employees. January 2024 I recently made an online purchase instead of going into the store for two reasons. Those being that store personnel are worthless, and the product was not carried in the store. Not surprised that when the product arrived, it was Chinese garbage. I went to the store to process the return. The wizard at the register said these products can only be returned online. Back home, I went where after a brief online search at Belk's website, I discovered that she was wrong. I'll be going back to the store shortly, where if I have a problem, I will create quite the scene. I hate Belk. I'll be dropping their credit card into my shredder upon the completion of this updated review. Not surprised that financial experts expect their bankruptcy soon. September 2023 It's been a year since the last time I tried to make a purchase at this Belk. The same exact thing happened as I described last year. This location is poorly managed, evidently by incompetents. I see this company following the same path as Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohls. If you don't have coupons, you're overpaying. Online predictions of Belk's pending bankruptcy are more realistic than I thought until recently. September 2022 Tried to make a purchase at Belk today. I picked up some men's shorts and headed for the register. Did not realize this would be a problem. I walked from one end of the second floor to the other. I passed three or four closed registers. I could not find any place to pay for the clothes. I gave up and just dropped them on a closed checkout counter. Incidentally, I had a birthday discount coupon that I tore up and left at the counter as well. At the very least, there should have been some indication as to where to find an open register. It will be quite some time before I give Belk another chance. I will be shredding my Belk credit care. I will not cancel it because that would have a negative impact on my credit rating.

Customer service was the worst. Sales person #015318 was grumbling on the other side of the aisle prior to coming to service desk. She was upset and nasty during the entire exchange. She had no name tag on or I’d add it to this review!! You need better employees! No wonder the nation is shopping online now! I’ve attached my receipt.

I have been to this store many times now and it is beyond ridiculous trying to find an associate. I know there is always a busy hour and certain circumstances as to them being busy. Each time I have been in I have walked circles in that store looking for help or a checkout and each time it takes at least 20 to 30 minutes to find someone. It wouldn’t be so bad if they would hire more people.

Waited 10 minutes at the jewelry counter for assistance from associates who were talking to each other and never spoke to me although they looked at me and walked away. After I finally asked another associate for assistance, she had the girl at the jewelry counter come to assist me with a watch purchase. Another couple walked up to the counter and she started talking to them. I was kind and courteous so not sure why Cindy was so rude to me. I’m old? I have shopped Belk all my life but will not continue if this is Belk’s new standard.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Lower score because no locks on dressing rooms and very few dressing rooms. I tried hanging something on the door, putting my shoes by the door and I still got walked in on constantly.

I have never been so disappointed! Selection was meh, service was non-existent, and the fitting rooms were awful…they smelled like dirty body, the rugs were filthy (hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in who knows how long), they were dimly lit, the list is long & I used two different fitting rooms (no difference in either room). It may be a bit before I visit again which is sad because Belk’s has one of my favorite lines of clothes.

Belk has quality goods at fair prices and usually has sales going on. Highly recommend downloading the Belk app to receive coupons. The store is always clean and well lit with friendly store associates.

They just don't have much in stock. Not many people there to help you if you need something. This store was so good a couple of years ago. Hope it gets better. When I came down I got a lot of clothes and shoes. Walked out there with no bags.

There was a line for checkout due to it raining and being busy. Patricia M apologized for the wait to every customer and was wonderful about listening to each of us whether it was a return or discount question. I also saved a bunch of money from my coupons so I had a great experience!

Was at this Belk store today July 7, 2023 with the family. Bought a set of socks and over the head hair band. Paid for it at the perfume dept. I walked toward the mall where a fault alarm gave off the first time I exited the Belk store. Went back in the same perfume dept where I paid for it. They scanned the over the head hair band which gave off the fault alarm. Once they fixed the problem, I exited the Belk store and it gave the fault alarm again a second time. Third time fault alarm again. HEY BELK! FIX THE DAWN TAG AND THE FAULT ALARM THAT GAVE OFF. I DEFINITELY WON'T BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN FOR BEING ACCUSED FOR A PAID ITEM THAT GAVE OFF FAULT ALARMS. If the red line has crossed on this part, I will have gotten myself a lawyer. (If you are a Belk customer, be aware of your surroundings and what goes on within this store or any other stores. Know your rights and wrongs. I know there are video cameras everywhere. Be open minded. Be aware, sometimes a good employee goes bad by putting a device tag into a shopping bag and you don't even knowing it until you look inside your shopping bag). Will you shop at this store or any other stores if the same situation I was in happened to you?

I was very pressed for time so I called ahead to make sure they had an item I needed and they said they did and that it was available. When I got there, the young woman I asked for help from said she didn't know what I was talking about and acted like they didn't carry the item. I asked to speak to who answers the phones and she said it could have been anyone. I eventually found the item on my own but it would have saved me a lot 30 minutes of walking around if she would have pointed me in the right direction.
