It's all about the $$$ not the animals... customer service is pathetic... there was a time when they were the best around but as usual unfortunately things change... I absolutely would not recommend them anymore...

My 11-year-old Westie developed what turned out to be her first UTI. I had not been to MIVH, but I have friends who go there. After calling around to other vets in Pawleys Island, they could not see her for days. I called MIVH and the person on the phone was very nice and said yes they were booked, but I could bring her in as an Emergency and they would fit her in. I jumped in the car and drove to MI. I pulled up, a staff member came out within a few minutes, called us in a few minutes later and we waited just a short time to be put in a room. The staff was all very nice. She was seen by Dr. Brett Servent who was great, she did indeed have a UTI and was given a shot of antibiotic and a shot for allergy to the grass in SC. I was pleasantly surprised that they did not charge extra for the Emergency visit. Very happy with the entire experience!

We are snowbirds and did not have a veterinarian here. Our 14 years old Yorkers had a stroke and several seizures, could not walk or stand. The time had come...when we arrived we called and told them the situation. Tech came to the car and got all the info they needed, prepared a room for us and took us thru the lobby directly to the room. Water, tissues, a soft blanket on the table and a soothing video. The Vet walked us thru procedure, so compassionate , with the dog and us.Lily crossed the rainbow bridge in my arms. For not having been there before, Lily and us were treated with kindness and ease. Yes, there was the business, they offered for us to pay next week when we pick up her ashes, we preferred to pay today. The office staff came in the room to conduct business. Afterwards, we were offered to stay with her as long as we wanted. We were so thankful for this Vet service. Highly recommend.

If I could give a zero I would . Took my 2 dogs for a check up and heart worm shots . I have never felt so denigrated in my life. I don't know what these vets do there that constitutes the money they charge. The vet I had did nothing in front of me . So saying she gave them a wellness check up was life saying she wiped her butt.she was very stand offish . All she wanted to do was push more tests and it was crazy. Oh my mask slipped off my nose and she scolded me for that. I am vaccinated and that pissed me off. I should have learned my lesson last yr when Dr Chip did blood work on my very sick cat when I was ready to put him down and he said it was probably his thyroid he died in my arms 3 days later. I ask for my records for my dogs I will NEVER go back there. They care about your money not your pets.

Worst customer service we have ever received. They only care about getting their money and not taking of care your pet. If you care about your pet and want them to receive the best care, do not go here!

Just brought my dog for annual checkup. Was disappointed with the way me and my pet were treated. The Tech did more of the examination than the actual Vet did. After the Tech completed blood sample and shots he said the vet would examine my dog but not in the room with me as has been done in the past. She finally showed up and stood far away to go over any questions I may have. So disappointed. The tech should be earning the Vet's salary. I will be finding a new Vet that will spend more time with me and my dog. This is shoddy work

I have been taking 3 of my dogs there since they were puppies. I had 2 of them there to get their shots and heartworm test in December. When checking out I would have been able to buy their heartworm medicine from them at $50 more per dog for a 12 month package than what they charge at chewy.com. They rejected my request from chewy for my heartworm medicine and my bravecto because they "hadn't seen a vet." BUT I could have bought it from them for $100 more for a year supply for my 2 dogs. The person who responded to me on the chat app was not helpful at all and I asked to speak with a vet. Please explain to me if their heartworm blood work was negative and they were willing to sell me the medicine there without seeing a vet why is it that they could not give the prescription to chewy so I could save a little money. They obviously don't care about animals, they care about their inflated prices and making money! Luckily I have another dog who goes to a different vet and I was able to give them their monthly dose until I get them in with a better vet who actually cares and does not try to break people with their absurd prices. Absolutely disgusted with their customer service.

Yesterday 2 minutes before scheduled closing time Dr Chip called us back and advised us to bring our dearest kitty Malka in as we felt it was time for her to cross over the rainbow bridge.

This morning our family bulldog, Watson, was seen at MIVH by Dr Suzanne, Ashley, Cora and Mrs Carol. They were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to provide for his needs and inform us as to help him. I can not say enough about the care we received today. Thank you MIVH for all you do for our community and keeping pups like Watson healthy. We appreciate you!

Love MIVH. Our Boxer Jayce needed an ultrasound done a few months back and Dr.Chip was great with him and we were finally able to get insight on the issues he was having. We brought our Dachshund in today and they were amazing with her as well, she liked Dr. Ashley. The attention to detail, and care provided here is really top notch. Thank you MIVH for being a great, caring team!

We just unfortunately had to put one of our puppers down. To say that it was traumatic is and understatement. The staff was professional and quick, if with our frantic behavior. We definitely recommend this hospital, although we hope it is under different circumstances for you.

Once again MIVH has "saved the day!" Long story short, they came through for us to see our kitty Louie on very short notice before we had to leave on a trip from home. I would have been worrying the whole trip if we had not had the visit to MIVH for shots & meds! Thank you Doctor Chip and all the staff! (including whoever mans the email!!)

Dr Bruce is absolutely wonderful unfortunately the front office staff is rude & uncaring. You will be hypertensive just dealing with them. The desks is run by a few that bully clients & the younger staff members so no one appears to care or makes you feel welcomed. The office manager doe not take any complaints seriously just states over & over how wonderful the staff is & never gets any complaints-apparently she does not read reviews. They should put a video camera on the front desk staff & review the interaction when the manager is not present. They also have given medical advice & not relayed calls to the vets. Most of the vet techs are pleasant & caring but that is completely overshadowed by the rude front desk crew. With the shortage of vets & the increasing cost of medical care you should at least be treated with common courtesy. This behavior has gone on since I started going about 7 years so covid has nothing to do with the problem. I think the owner would really be surprised if she listened to her clients as well as monitor the attitudes & actions of her front desk staff. I'm a glutton for punishment because I keep going because Dr Bruce is excellent.

I have been very happy with each vet I've ever come in contact with at MVH, as well as the vet techs. Their app is easy to use and extremely helpful. The reason I gave 3 stars is strictly on front office staff. I have never once been treated in a friendly way either checking in or out, in person or on the phone. At best they're disinterested and at worst just rude. They're the first impressions of the office and from my experience, they're not a good impression.
