“Of course you need to get the pork. Everything we come to the beach we make sure to bring a cooler to take some pork home with us. The scallops looked amazing so we bought some of those too. Also got some produce, honey, and jams. We have recommended this place to locals and tourists both.”

“I like Lowes. We're fortunate here to have a variety of grocery stores, Kroger, Food Lion, Publix, Fresh Market, Piggly Wiggly (I may be forgetting some) and all are within a short drive. Each has its attraction and Lowes certainly does. There is a kind of Fresh Market feel but the employees and prices are better. The deli and prepared foods, the meat and seafood are among the best around, there's a large selection of beer and wine. They have a very popular growler / bar area with seating for enjoying about a dozen rotating crafts on tap.Try the house made sausages, chicken wings smoked in house and the chicken pot pies.”

“We're new to the area. Publix is a very nice store. The floors were spotless. The shelves were well stocked. Lots to choose from. However, its expensive. Lowes across the street had better deals overall. So if you have tons of money to throw around, this is the store for you. Even Lowes is pricey, but not as bad. *****their store brand ice cream is excellent and a full half gallon to boot!”

“For a small beach town grocery store it's great. It has the essentials you may need that you don't want to drive out to the main road for. It's one of the few great spots on Atlantic Ave, including Daily Grind and Drippys.”

“How can you not love a DG? Whatever you need you can find in a DG. Now, the item you purchased may not last more than a week or two, but usually it'll do the job.”

“Quick stop for a few bits of food in the Sprinter van, this is a very large Kroger with a section that focuses on the proximity to the beach with beach toys and beach towels and such. I didn't need any of that, instead picking up a fresh bottle of cream for coffee and some sliced cheese for sandwiches. The store is in excellent condition though at 8:30am, I expect clean and stocked. Only one register open so I was at the self-checkout and on my way. And yes, Kroger acquired the Harris Teeter chain so I was able to use my VIC card and earn some credit towards Fuel Points. This store does have a Fuel Center.[Review 19399 overall - 973 in South Carolina - 369 of 2023.]”

“Our go-to grocery. Lots of items on sale, fuel points, good meat department. Not nearly as large as Kroger stores up north and selections more limited than in other Kroger stores. It too often feels like regional or national management doesn't value this store and it is the only Kroger in this area. Store needs a makeover and an expansion. Despite all this, the employees are awesome and there are a lot of long time employees, a good sign. I love this store and so do lots of regulars and returning tourists. I wish corporate Kroger felt the same way.”
