This TJ Maxx has more upscale merchandise (and is more organized and tidy) than other locations in the Charleston area. In the beauty and personal care area, you can find top brands of body wash, shampoo, and skincare items for a fraction of the price at department stores. I stopped in to do some Christmas shopping and found seasonal clothing such as ugly sweaters in a wide range of sizes. Their sister stores Marshalls and Home Goods are in the same shopping plaza and have a better selection of household items, but TJ Maxx has its fair share too. I recommend checking out both, as TJ Maxx had an item I wanted in the size I wanted and Marshalls did not. I don't think anyone visits TJ Maxx looking for anything in particular- I go in because I'm bored or have time to waste before an appointment. Still, I never leave empty handed.

The store manager she has a very bad attitude I wonder how manger act like customer is a homeless asking for money or something I'm shopping there so you can you get your bonus and pay check

Absolute trash. The clothing selection in this location is one step up from Goodwill. I am tired of seeing styles that have passed their “prime”. Whoever is responsible needs to show this store more consideration for its clientele.

My daughter went into the store today to follow up to tell ms Shannon about her availability and when she went up to the counter she was greeted with an attitude with and employee Seth (who was talking to other people and seemed to be nice to them)and he told her that u will need a piece a paper and he kept cutting her off every time she tried to talk because she said that she didn’t have it written down so she walked away once he told her that he couldn’t take her availability then she turned around to talk to the other employees about who he is cause she felt harassed and racially profiled by the way he was treating her then they told her what his name was and when she started to leave he came up to her and asked if there was anything I can help u with again with an attitude as if she can’t look around and walk around the store and as if he was implying something and she told him no then walked away and he was mumbling something under his breath, I really don’t like the way how he treated my daughter who is a teenager and he is a grown adult in such manner if this is how your employees treated customers let alone kids I think you need to talk to your employees about that because my daughter shouldn’t have felt racially profiled and feel attacked in any way or feel as if her every move is being watched because of her skin tone because the attitude he gave her and coming up to her again because he saw her walking around was not necessary and does seem like harassment.

I just read the review about the teenage girl trying to apply there and that’s unacceptable. And I have head in the past about them treating people different and that is unprofessional that poor girl.

37 minutes in line today, a new TJ Maxx record as this store continues to get worse and worse. Maybe if they paid a living wage they would have better staffing levels.

When the lines are very long (over 20 customers) you would think that the cashiers would make an effort to move a little bit faster. There were 3 cashiers working and 2 of them were doing a good job getting customers checked out. The other cashier was absolutely terrible! Seth spent over 10 minutes chatting with a customer even AFTER he was finished completing her transaction and bagging her merchandise!

Amazing experience each time you visit. Associates get to know you, “they become your personal shopper.”A GREAT selection “collectors” merchandise, Runway and Home Goods on the East/West Coast!

This store is very hit or miss, but it's quite possible to find wonderful deals on high quality clothing. It seems like the staff are working to reorganize and revamp the store to be easier to navigate and less cluttered. Service is also hit or miss, but yesterday folks were very friendly!

Seth in the check-out line chatted with the customer he rang up for a good ten minutes after the sale. There were many more people besides myself in line. His customer service skills could use some help! Do better TJ Maxx!
