One of their agents was on the buyers side of a home I sold. Prior to closing and funds transfer of the home this agent gave the buyers the lockbox code. The buyers moved into the home. There was a problem with their closing paperwork and we were unable to complete the transaction for three more days. Meanwhile the buyers had taken occupancy despite not owning the home. We were forced to enter into a preoccupancy with the buyers as a result. This agent had made several mistakes earlier in the process leaving key items out of the buyers offer. I’d never use this agency as a result of our experience with this agent.

I recently worked with agent Kara Hicks to buy a house in the Charleston area. I was living in Connecticut at the time, so most of our viewings were virtual, with Kara going in person and Facetiming with me 900 miles away. The market in Charleston is extra crazy right now, so there were times she would literally be driving from West Ashley to Goose Creek just to look at homes. She quickly learned my likes and dislikes, and worked with me to find a house that fit all of my needs. Even when we came upon some hiccups, she was always able to offer an educated suggestion.As much of a headache as it is to buy a house, with extra anxiety thrown in due to my distance, Kara made this as low-stress as possible. I hope to stay in this house for a long time, but I would use Kara for my next purchase and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to buy or sell.

Neil Sneath, our real estate agent, has exceeded expectations every step of the way. We've used him for both buying a new home and selling our current one. He is even keeled, thoughtful, proactive, gave expert advice, and has been a great communicator with all parties involved. He even helped us by fixing some handyman projects himself! We can't possibly imagine another real estate agent working harder than Neil while keeping our interests first.One example (of many) is when we were looking to purchase a home that happened to be in a flood zone with changing FEMA maps. We knew the old flood insurance premium was too pricey ($3500/yr), and the sellers didn't know what the new rate would be. Neil was able to get a copy of the elevation certificate, send it to his insurance guy, and quickly gave us the new quote which was much lower than expected (Less than $500/yr). Armed with this knowledge, our reservations were are ease, and we confidently put in an offer on the home that was accepted. He consistently goes above and beyond, and we could not recommend him more strongly!!

We just sold our home in the Dunes West development of Mount Pleasant. Our agent was Sam Haynes, who my wife and I would recommend, whether you are on the buying or the selling side. We had gotten to know him when he was our agent for buying the house. He had taken an interest, even when we said we were 6-12 months from actually buying, and once we were ready, he was full of useful information about the neighborhoods and pricing. As the seller, since we had actually moved out when we put the house on the market, we were concerned about there not be any showing issues we should know about, and making sure our house got consideration. Sam knows Dunes West very well, and he did an excellent job putting forth our best attributes. When potential buyers came to view our home, he was there to answer questions and make sure they knew the positive attributes that many other houses might be lacking. All in all, a really great agent.
