The sweetest ladies in Mt Pleasant work here! They are always so helpful with shoe, clothes, gifts or whatever.Always greeted with a smiling face, always patient and kind to my kids. (This is huge! We’ve been to other “children’s” boutiques where the employees can’t be bothered to help and aren’t even nice to the kids!)Y’all will have my business forever.

The staff here seems to have issues. I gladly paid for gift wrapping and asked for price tags to be removed. The price stickers were tackily ripped and left to look cheap. The price tags were left on the items purposefully by the disengaged and shady sales associate.The staff here obviously struggles with customer service. I will never shop here again and I suggest that you don't. There are many other children's clothiers in the Charleston area. Don't waste your time at Southern Belles.

I went to Southern Belles many times to buy gifts and clothes however I will never go back. I went there in March and I was 8 months pregnant. I had my 18 month old daughter in tow and I had a pile of things on the counter to purchase when I realized my daughter needed to be changed. I asked to use their bathroom and was told “it’s against a South Carolina statute to change a diaper in a shop.” I know that is a lie because 1) that’s ridiculous and 2) I’m an attorney and looked it up afterwards. They told me to change my daughter in the car and to “please not throw the diaper away in the trash can outside the shop because we don’t want it to smell out there.”
