The animal dermatology clinic staff and Dr Thomas have been the best veterinary care experience I have ever had. They listen to me, answered my endless questions, and regularly check in about the health and progress of my dog.
We were seeing some truly excellent progress with my dog’s itchiness and inflamed skin before she unfortunately passed away due to other issues. When Dr Thomas heard the news, he called me directly to express his condolences and offer his support. A few days later, I received a letter from the staff with their condolences. Soon after that, I saw there was a donation made in Lyla’s name from Dr Thomas to an animal research facility. They went above and beyond during her life, and they continued to go above and beyond in her death. I’m not saying that this is something they do for every animal (I’m not sure) but that was my experience and I can say with complete confidence that they know what they are doing and that your pet is in good hands with the specialists at this facility

250.00 for recheck × 2 to swab ear after an 1800.00 surgery. Not counting the 590.00 a month med to take after × 2 months. Recheck shouldn't be 250.00!! Outrageous. My granddog was patient not mine. and was not very reassuring because said it may come back if we don't keep on preventative med which is almost 200.00 for 60 pills. I'm not made of money. How do people afford this?? Very EXPENSIVE

This has been the only place we have been able to get help (in almost five years since we moved to SC from CT) for our dog's excessive scratching and paw licking issues that is helping. I like working with Dr. Lewis and she’s been excellent at explaining our dog’s allergy issues. Abby is now on the way to being a less itchy and happier dog!! She doesn’t mind her weekly allergy shot when we give it to her every Sunday. We were unable to get any relief for Abby until we found the Animal Dermatology Clinic and Dr. Sarah Lewis, DVM! For us it is a two hour ride one way but totally worth the trip!!

Where do I start? It is in a cute building, with very accessible parking. A poop station out front. It has a cozy little waiting room. The staff are very friendly and patient. Dr. Aubrey was incredibly nice and personable. She went slow with my shy girl, took the time to talk about records, and what we wanted to focus on. She discussed options, symptoms, concerns, and everything we wanted to consider for my little one's health. The focus is dermatology, but she included other concerns that we wanted to be sure were also good.
I can not express it enough how nice and wonderful Dr. Aubrey was and the rest of the staff. I happily handed over my money, feeling like it was worth the cost. They are not the type to force you down a road you can't afford.

Dr. Thomas and the staff were amazing. My sweet boy Jordy been suffering from skin and allergies for about six years. The tech and the doctors listen to all your concerned and explains to you everything patiently. They take their time to explain everything. The front desk very friendly and welcoming. I am so glad that I found this specialist. They for sure care about your furbaby. I can't wait to see positive results with the immunotherapy.

The doctors are very informative with explaining your pets issues. Call backs and text messages are in a timey manner. Please visit them if your pet has skin issues - you will not be disappointed in your pets care. Dr. Gould is the best!!! She puts up with me. LOL

Very caring and friendly folks. It was raining and they gave me a towel to dry my dog. Dr Lewis treated my dog after being seen by 2 other veterinarian offices had not been successful. Dr Lewis has made my dog 95% better in 30 days of treatment. I cannot thank this practice enough for helping us. My dog is almost 100% now a little after a month. Dr Lewis has cured my dog after my dog had suffered an ear issue for months prior to seeing Dr Lewis. God Bless Dr Lewis she is awesome

We had our first appointment yesterday at animal dermatology clinic in Charleston, South Carolina. We were impressed with the practice from the moment we walked in the door. Everyone was very cheerful, kind and personable. They were also very organized. They ran 100% on time for the appointment. I can’t remember the last time that a physician or veterinarian was on time for an appointment.Our canine Dermatology specialist veterinarian was Dr. Gould. She is a real treasure! She is kind, very knowledgeable, personable and puts you and your pet at ease right from the moment you meet her. We felt very comfortable putting our dog, Wrigley's care in her very capable hands. We live in Bluffton so it was an 2 Hour Dr. in the morning to get there, but it was well worth the drive. I will also tell you to expect that specialty care for your dog is expensive. However, if your dog has been suffering from skin problems like ours has and your regular veterinarian has exhausted everything they know to do, this is the route that you have to take, especially as a Frenchy owner.

Dr. Lewis is so genuine, caring and knowledgeable. She makes us feel so comfortable and informed every time we visit. The staff are also amazing about working with our needs and requests with our reactive boy. We could not be more grateful for what Dr. Lewis has done for our Great Dane, Colt. He had so much lameness and we had visited 5 prior veterinarians to be seen for this. No one could figure it out until we met Dr. Lewis at Animal Dermatology Clinic and she was able to resolve his issue. He acts like a puppy again now!

Drs. Thomas, Akucewich, & the entire staff are amazing! Our pup is always excited to be there and everyone knows him by name. We completely trust that he will receive the best care there— the expertise and compassion are unparalleled. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work with them.
