Enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, with lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. The Shem Creek Boardwalk is right outside the door and is a very pleasant place to stroll around and check out the creek and marsh as well as all of the boats tied up or coming and going. If you are a birdwatcher like I am there are plenty of birds to see! The restaurants can be a little loud in the evening, but everything quiets down before 10:00, so no disturbance to sleep, and the hotel is quiet overnight. Overall a great experience, and will definitely return next time we visit Charleston!

Check in desk staff on the evening of 5/9 was very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Hair in the bed and a live roach in the bathroom. Immediately checked out and went elsewhere.Walkability: Walkable boardwalk park area.Food & drinks: Many food and drink options within walking distance.

Loved our visit to this Inn. Free adult beverages upon check-in, which was much needed after a 10-hour drive. ?Gorgeous views. Amazing location. Clean room, lobby, and breakfast area. Comfortable beds.Note that housekeeping has to be requested and isn't always available.Would stay again.

We are Charleston regulars but Shem Creek Inn was a new one for us! We stayed in the deluxe creek view room and loved every minute of it! We were only there to sleep but our bathrooms were spacious and clean. Our beds and pillows were awesome and our view / balcony was fantastic! They have done a great job with renovations! Great location with the Shem Creek bars/restaurants!

Never again. Checked out before we ever checked in. Went to another hotel downtown after standing there waiting for the woman at the desk for Angela, I think her name was, to process us upon arrival but she seemed more interested in complaining to doordash support, trying to get some delivery driver fired. After standing there for longer then my patience could stand , my wife and I grabbed our luggage and left.

We stopped here on our way to Florida, and weren’t sure what to expect, but we very much enjoyed our stay.The rooms were spacious, and located in an excellent location right on the water with plenty of restaurants in the area. Service was very friendly and gave us a free alcoholic drink for both adults at check in which was a nice surprise.We would definitely stay here again when visiting SC.

Was there for a birthday trip and ran into a wedding wood chipper. Hotel halls and guest rooms are wide open to the main lobby. This translates to hearing everyone coming in the hotel, walking down the halls and gathering in the main room. The wedding party was up all hours on Thursday and Friday night and there was no effort to move them so the other guests were not disturbed. You can also hear anyone in the room above you. I wanted to try the hotel for the location and that is great, but we won't be back. Staff was friendly and apologetic

Great location lots to do and a short drive/uber to King/Meeting. room was clean larger than I thought and comfortable. I have been I a lot of hotels and I believe that my room shower had the best pressure I could remember. Great stay highly recommend.
