The young woman working on Sunday afternoon was very helpful and didn’t treat me like I was supposed to know how it all worked (my first time there). She was lovely and never stopped cleaning and preparing for the next customer the entire time I was there. She is a wonderful representative of the owner of the business! Thank you.

This laundromat is clean and has plenty of washers and dryers. The staff and customers are friendly.
They have a chalkboard of wash instructions in case you're not sure what a symbol means.
Regular washer $7. Small washer $5. Dryers are $0.60 for 5 minutes.
Cash only. You get given a laundry card to use for your visit there, you will add cash to their card machine and get a refund in cash for unused funds at the end.
I will say that a lot of the washing machines are out of order and have been for a while. I do my laundry on a Sunday and have always been able to use a machine. So possibly avoid busy hours.

The people who work here are very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that's about the only good thing about this place.
Maintenance is the first issue. At least a third of the machines are not working, and as they are clearly marked with their various problems, you can see that some of them have not been working since at least October 2022. (I am writing this in March 2024.) it is evident that the owners either do not care or lack the resources to fix these machines so that they are available to all customers.
Then there's the cost. Hypothetically, there is a $5 small wash option, but in reality, one of the machines is broken, and it is difficult to get access to any of the others as every customer wants to use them. Meanwhile, the large capacity machines - of which there are only three and one is broken - are marked for use by staff only and you apparently have to get special permission to use them. This means that almost every wash costs $7 unless you can wait for a $5 machine & monopolize it for the number of loads you need to run. At least one of the dryers I used did a very poor job of drying my clothes even after 35 minutes (7 pay cycles).
The only seating is an old church pew, which does not have room for everyone who wants to rest and is very uncomfortable.
I visited this establishment while on a road trip. I wish I had just washed my clothes at my hotel as it would've been cheaper and more efficient. There are plenty of other laundromats that are in better condition with more reasonable prices. This is not that place.

I had a bad experience today when I went to pick up my wash n fold clothes due to wrinkles and hanging clothes on the wrong hangers and I posted a bad review. Not even 10 minutes after I posted it the owner called me…WWWOOOOWWW!!! She is really passionate for her family business/legacy and I understand that it wasn’t her fault at all but she insisted that it was her fault and that she is the face for the business and took full responsibility which I LOVED unlike most owners would point the finger/make an excuse. She even offered to drive to my house to pick the clothes and do it properly. I was blown away that on a SUNDAY the owner would stop her afternoon/evening to do all of this. I told her that I don’t live far away and I can stop by and drop them off to you. I WILL DEFINITELY TELL MY FAMILY/FRIENDS WHAT SHE DID FOR ME AND I WILL ONLY USE SEA ISLAND SUDS. P.S. As I was typing this I just got a notification from my Venmo app that she even REFUNDED me the whole total including the $20 tip I gave them upfront.

I’ve been using Sea Island Suds for the past 6 years, at least twice a year. Stacy is always helpful and the laundromat is clean. I highly recommend this business.

Clean, easy to use machines, and nice woman at the front to help. You get a laundry card from the front, load it with money, do your laundry, and they'll cash out whatever is left on the card. Make sure to bring cash to load onto the card. It's a little expensive for a load but it did a good job. Would come back.

Would not go to any other Laundromat. Kelly is always there and go above and beyond to give excellent customer service. She is always cheerful and friendly. You wont find her sitting on a stool texting. They wash and fold blankets and comforters that are too big for my machine. Thanks Kelly!!!

This laundromat is expensive. On the positive side, the facilities are clean and the staff are friendly with plenty of available machines. But, the prices are almost 45% higher than what I pay at my normal laundromat. The washers are $7 which is competitively priced but the dryers are 3x what other laundromats charge. They charge for every 5 minutes if use and the price is .60 per 5 minutes so a 30 minute cycle is $3.60. At my other laundromat that cycle would be $1.50. My normal bill for one load was & dry is $7. At This laundromat, the same load was $10. My review rating is based on the high prices for which I’m knocking 2 stars off what is otherwise a nice laundromat.

In trying to find a laundromat that my company could use, this one was the only one that answered the phone, answered my questions, and met our needs. In addition, they not only worked very well under short notice, but pushed us to the top of their queue and provided an excellent turnaround time. Definitely recommending this laundromat!

We can’t say enough good things about Sea Island Suds. Grace the owner does a wonderful job, pays attention to the smallest detail. We love that she reaches out to the community. I know when I go there I will be taken care of.
