I started going to Kevin six years ago when I moved to Charleston. I had a terrible bob and hair color from another hair stylist. Kevin took the time to talk with me about the best cut and color for my face and complexion and was honest about what wouldn’t look good. He has patiently worked with me over the years with going between light and dark and always made whatever color I wanted look amazing. He cares about his clients and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hair color, cuts, extensions, product, etc. I highly recommend Kevin. He is incredible!!Services: Hair coloring

I decided to see Kevin based on a friend's recommendation. She's got hair that always looks great and I trust her opinion.I got the worst haircut of my life at a salon in Mount Pleasant in March and after a few months of regrowth it was time to try and salvage the butchered hair on my head. I had heavy, blunt layers that were uneven and all around my head.Kevin spent a good 10 minutes combing and checking my butchered cut before taking any scissors to my hair. He also made notes about my hair texture, growth patterns, and cowlicks. He made recommendations for styles that would suit my hair type which gave me a goal to look forward to while growing out my hair.Once he started cutting my hair, he didn't remove much hair, but did so in the right places such that the layers blended in and my hair looks like it once again has an intentional style. My hair is more manageable and easy to style now. Growing out my hair has been much less frustrating after getting it cut.I highly recommend Kevin as a stylist. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to cutting hair and is honest to clients when it comes to styles that won't work for their hair type.Services: Hairstyling

Needed a haircut while visiting Mt.Pleasant. I was able to get an appointment with Kevin, and was very pleased with it. He and his staff are kind, accommodating, and professional. I was a bit nervous before arriving, but my angst was laid to rest immediately. Kevin is knowledgeable in the nuances of all hair types-a rare skill set! What can I say about Kevin and Salon International? That for 18 years, Kevin is the most talented, experienced, knowledgeable, honest, also a warm and ingratiating person, who knows how to handle any personality. And believe me, I have seen him handle many, some far more particular than I, and no matter what, Kevin always carries himself with extreme professionalism, it really is amazing. I am one of those women who is extremely particular about my hair. I learned the hard way, that a good stylist is indeed a rare find. In Kevin you get the whole package. If I hadn't had met Kevin, quite frankly I wouldn't have any hair! Serendipity landed me at Salon International and Kevin, managed to get my hair back, although many times I disagreed and wanted something different he was always forthright and letting me know that but I wanted at times wouldn't help my situation, always putting what would be best for my hair for my lifestyle, for my personality, and today I have a full head of hair, Thank you! Kevin. You can go into a thousand salons, and many will do whatever you ask them just so they can get the money. Kevin is a businessman, but he puts the needs and thoughts of the client first, usually right on time, once in a blue moon somebody might run a little late but that's very rare, Kevin is usually very prompt. It's almost like a vacation when you go to see Kevin, you get great treatment, great hair results, great personality, it's a great adventure that will keep you coming back for more. I recommend Kevin and Salon International to anyone that ever asks, know anyone that does hair? I sure do!! Salon International is a hidden gem of Mt. Pleasant. I moved here a few years ago and was given the tip by a friend. I will not ever go anywhere else! KEVIN IS AMAZING! I was feeling so frumpy and needed a new look but had no idea what to get. I also didn’t want anything that I wouldn’t be able to style and wanted to be proud of it on a daily basis. All I can say is that Kevin is an artist. He took one look at my face shape, hair type and skin tone and immediately had multiple recommendations for me from a full color and highlight to different cuts that flattered my face. I left the salon not only feeling gorgeous but also felt like I met a friend. He is extremely professional but has a way of making you feel like you’ve known him for years. I ended enjoying my time in his stylist chair as much as I do my new look. I recommend Kevin and Salon International to everyone who comments on my hair, and it happens quite frequently. Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your talents and making me feel so confident with my new look!

In some respects I don't want to give all the feels to Salon International because if you haven't already found it then shame on you - I also want to be able to always get my appointment times without waiting months ... but I couldn't hold back because Kevin and his team deserve ALL the goodness and love - you will not find a more experienced artist with both color , cut and style ... truly an artist ! And a larger than life personality that will insure no matter what mood you enter with you will leave with lovely locks and outlook. Kevin has created a salon that feels like family - I will most definitely remain a loyal client ...
