My daughters have enjoyed the purchases they've made at Monkee's when they come to visit me. It's a very attractive shop.In mid November one of my daughters came to visit for my birthday. On a cold, rainy day another daughter called and suggested we go to Monkee's and pick out a dress for me--her treat. We found a beautiful long black dress with feathers! Went to check out. My daughter pulled up her sister's credit card info on her phone and quickly signed the receipt. We were chatting and enjoying the find with the sales associates. We left and went to lunch. While at lunch we talked about some sweaters we had seen at the shop. There was one my daughter wanted to get and a couple that I thought would be fun to give as gifts. We went back and got them, still enjoying the interaction with the associates. I quickly signed the receipt and we went home. My daughter took her sweater out of the bag and then put the bag with the gift sweaters in my closet. I planned to gift them to two people who were coming for Thanksgiving.During the Thanksgiving visit, I gifted the sweaters. Sadly, the recipients didn't care for them and asked that I return them. A few days later I retrieved them from the closet to make the return. I checked to make sure I had the receipt. It was the first time I saw the return policy. It's lengthy but basically states returns must be made within 7 business days for exchange or store credit only. I obviously missed that deadline. I went in and was initially told I had missed the deadline and nothing could be done. I asked if they could please give me some accommodation. One associate said I could get an exact exchange if I did it there and then. I couldn't do that as I had an appointment to get to. I was the given the chance to go back the next day. I really appreciated that. I went back the next day and one of the kind associates asked what might interest me. I told her I'd love to find another dress. She was so helpful in pulling dresses for me. I tried on everything and nothing worked. She then showed me other items but there was nothing I needed or wanted. I certainly wasn't going to buy a gift for anyone given the restrictive return policy. I don't see how that policy would work for anyone. Let's take a holiday for example. Christmas is one. Suppose you want to have your gifts purchased, wrapped and under the tree before Christmas Day. That timetable is ticking.I know I should have inspected the receipt. Lesson learned. Here's the thing, though. Monkee's has my money and I have two expensive sweaters I have no use for.I suggest the return policy be posted on the entry door. And at the checkout counter. It is my hope that management and/or the owner will rethink their policy.A thing that is really great about this shop is the employees. They are wonderful.

Had the most wonderful experience at Monkee's MP!!! The ladies were so helpful, and I got the most beautiful trade beads :) I love shopping their store online, but going in person was even better. So beautiful to see everything in person. The trade beads are a must!

I'd been looking for a straw hat for the beach and found one online at Monkee's of Mount Pleasant, SC. Their return policy is such that even though the hat I bought was too big for me, they refused to offer me a refund or even a store credit. I won't be buying anything from them again, and would encourage anyone thinking of doing so to definitely read ALL of the small print which leaves a lot of room for misinterpretation.

I love coming to the Monkee’s in mount pleasant! The girls who work there are always so warm and welcoming, very helpful picking pieces for me to try on. Whitney is a rockstar with all her try-on’s via IG. Such a fun store! I basically live there now :)

My go to store in person and online! Not just for the clothes but the staff and amazing customer service! I found Monkees 2 years ago and it’s hands down the best shopping experience I’ve ever had and continues to be. Whether I’m looking for a dress, shoes, jewelry or need a gift the staff always finds the perfect thing! Whitney and Kelsey that work in store are my go to girls and go above and beyond. It’s not just about what I buy but the overall experience. The owner, Lindsay, has impeccable taste and the store is curated with beautiful, stylish and unique items. I can’t say enough positive things! Love Monkees!

Everytime I go to Monkees of mount pleasant the ladies there are so helpful and amazing. I have shopped there many times for gifts as it is my wife's favorite store. Whitney goes above and beyond as she knows my wife and what she likes. This kind of personalized service is rare these days so it is truly refreshing to experience.

Most unfortunate experience! I have been purchasing from Monkee's Stores in Naples, Lexington and Southern Pines for over 12 years. This was my first experience with the Mount Pleasant store.I ordered a pair of shoes online. I was very excited to find them! But boy am I disappointed in the way I was taken care of for the return. The shoes did not fit and I called to return. They told me that I could not return because it was past the 10 day return policy. Grant you, no where on my invoice is this posted. The shoes were ordered on August 15 online and delivered on August 18, 2021. This policy is ludicrous in the first place, because they take the 10 days starting with the order date!Secondly, never mind that I was out of town to even try on. So I called on the 15th day and Kelsi told me they couldn't be returned. Policy. Today I just called again, after I relooked at my invoice, and Whitney was very dismissive and said no to the return as well.I'm in business too. I do not, nor would I ever treat a customer in this manner.

Big fan of monkees and love their items. Unique and make me feel good. Love the women in the store, too. Always a pick me up to swing by Monkees!! They know they're stuff and what fits your body, etc.
