Not only are the mechanics competent, but the prices for repair are very fair and reasonable. My son in law recommended this business to me that he has gone to for repairs . Firestone quoted me twice the price of replacing my cracked sway bar links , and Mitch who answered the phone when I called, was so appalled at their price, that he managed to fit me in before I had to travel to Chicago a few days later. I greatly appreciated his efforts to squeeze me in their busy schedule. The receptionist was very friendly, too.

They are awesome!! Knew exactly what was wrong with our car and fixed it right away!! Mitch was so helpful getting us in the get things diagnosed and Chris was fabulous and fixed it.

Wonderful. Night and day difference in customer experience between McIntosh and Toyota dealerships in the area. 100% will return for service on my Toyota and recommend others do the same.

As an out-of-town father many miles away with a child needing auto work done in a town we know nothing about, stumbling upon McIntosh Imports was an absolute God-send and a blessing. They were amazingly nice, caring and appreciative of my situation trying to get my child's car fix. I've had to deal with hundreds of auto service businesses in my 50+ years. Mitch is a rare find. There was a 99% chance that our motor was a goner. And they could've easily told us that. But they kept looking and searching, and eventually found an issue that could be fixed rather than changing out the motor. Communication was outstanding with Mitch who always called with updates (and let's face it, you can tell when someone really cares and when someone doesn't - Mitch really cared). And ultimately the price was very fair. I know they did more work than probably what I was charged for. I'm usually too lazy to write reviews, but I had to write this one. I am so thankful for this business in general, and Mitch in particular. I would highly recommend them.

After receiving a recommendation from a friend, we selected Macintosh to assess a problem we had been having with our Lexus GX460. Overall excellent experience. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Often times I go to places like this and feel like I am getting ripped off. I did NOT feel like this both times I have gone!! They have been extremely helpful in letting me know what issues with my car are pressing and what can wait. Thanks for the help!

I took my car in to have the oil changed, tires rotated, and front brake pads replaced. When I last brought my car in six months ago, they indicated that the brake pads would likely need to be replaced on this occasion. When I went to pick the car up, I noticed on the invoice that the brake pads had not been replaced. When I questioned them about it, they indicated that based on the less-than-normal number of miles I had driven over the prior six months, that there had not been as much wear on the brake pads as they suspected would have been. That being the case, there was no need to replace them at this point. So where many auto repair shops would have simply gone forward with replacing the brake pads, they instead deferred their replacement to a future date. That type of honesty is rare and commendable. I went to get a diagnostic confirmation done, as our regular Larson’s Automotive advised to do based on an emissions light indicator. It took three months for someone to actually return my call, but was pleasant when they finally were able to do so. What should have only been a gas cap replacement, ended costing me $1,400. I was informed that the car needed a new battery, and I appreciated this information and was also told that it needed replaced valves. I agreed for those things to be done. However, they stated they were going to do a oil change and I told them that this had just been done a month ago at Larson Automotive and they were explicitly asked not to do it. When I went to pick up the car, the repairman stated he went ahead and did it anyway. They also took the liberty, without permission, to tack on other items such as windshield wipers , filters and other areas that we’re not discussed nor needed. Although they were pleasant and fast on getting the work done, they were disrespectful of what we had discussed and took liberties to do things without permission and were very over priced.I would highly recommend getting a second opinion if you need work and looking to find people who will respect what is agreed upon , like Pete Larson.

I asked to check the car because it seemed to be in bad condition during the road trip, and they did it quickly and on the spot.
