*Editing my review in response to the owner’s reply* There was only one artist present at my trial and that was Teresa. At no point did I see a single other person in the building at my trial. Teresa did both my trial hair AND make up. I did not meet Brianna until my wedding. To be clear, Teresa was doing hair on my wedding day and Brianna did make up. I did not claim otherwise in my original review below. Also, I did point out these issues on the day but didn’t make a stink of it because I was busy getting ready for my wedding. I’m not sure what confusion could be cleared up when there is none.
I don’t love leaving less than positive reviews but I am still thinking about my experience with Lashes and Lace a year after my wedding so I wanted to share my experience.
I had a trial with one artist 3 months before my wedding and absolutely loved my make up and hair. I felt really listened to and the artist took time to go over my inspiration photos with me and really break down what I loved about each photo. I loved my eye shadow, the false lashes were beautiful, and we even determined that we needed to trim the strip lash because otherwise the strip pokes my inner eye quite badly. After tip, my trial was $300.
Come my wedding day, I was scheduled to be second to last. This is normal because you don’t want the bride to go too early and have her make up not be as fresh. The issue with this is that since hair and make up was being done in another room that I was in at my venue, I did not realize that the make up artist was a completely different one than the one I had had my trial with. My trial artist was the one doing hair. Okay fine, I figure these are all professionals who will do a great job regardless and it’s not like I can have them switch because my trial artist is in the middle of doing someone’s hair.
My problem is that the day of make up artist did not seem to know a single thing about anything that had been discussed at my trial. She didn’t have a reference photo even though ones were taken at my trial, she had no notes. I had to pull out my phone and explain everything all over again.
At one point she’s putting on eye shadow and it is much darker than what I wanted or what I had at the trial. I bring this up and she says “well, this is how the shadow looks in the pan” and points to the palette. Okay, sure, but it looks super dark on my eye and it’s clearly not the same one? She seemed frustrated that I didn’t like it and just stared at me. I felt bad speaking up but it clearly was not similar. How come the shade that was used at the trial or an equivalent wasn’t noted down?
Then it’s time to apply the false lashes. She pulls out ones that are not at all the same ones from my trial and I ask her if she has the correct ones. She says “oh no, I carry a different kit and I’m out of those but these are pretty similar”….no they were not.
Before she begins glueing them, I tell her that we had to trim them at the trial and she brushes that off and says they look like they will fit fine and let’s try. She applies them to my eye and what do you know, they’re poking my inner eye a lot and she has to remove them, messing up my eye make up. I felt bad about this too but I couldn’t have something in my eye the whole time on my wedding. Again, if any information at all from my trial had been carried over, that could have been avoided. Side note, the lashes lifted very quickly and my planner had to help me apply more glue in the middle of the wedding.
Overall, I felt flustered and communication felt strained, like she didn’t want to bother with me. I also did not like my make up, it was a complete step down from my trial make up. My brows were terribly overdone and super powdery when they were just perfect at the trial. I’m not sure if this artist wasn’t as experienced or what.
To be clear, I understand that you may not get the same artist on your wedding day

Brittany and the rest of the team were truly incredible and helped me and my girls feel so beautiful and confident on our big day. She navigated my last minute changes due to the heat with such grace and made me feel like an absolute princess. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how beautifully everything turned out! We had so much fun getting ready and they helped take the stress out of the entire process! It just felt like getting ready with girl friends I have known for years! They are truly professionals at what they do and I could not recommend them more.

Working with Kacie was SO fun and easy, and I felt SO beautiful on my wedding day! The night before my wedding, I decided I wanted to go with an updo instead of the original style we had decided on during my trial. Kacie was SO responsive and supportive of this, and gave me the updo of my dreams! I felt so beautiful the entire night. I cried so much on my wedding day, and my makeup was flawless at the end of the night. I got married on a HOT day in June, and I was so impressed that my hair and makeup survived an entire day of sweat, tears, and dancing. I am so thankful for Kacie and the entire team at Lashes and Lace. This was the BEST experience ever!

Cara always does my hair and makeup before I’m on stage, tv or for any event. She always knows how to adjust tones and shades perfectly for whatever I’m doing!! I absolutely love her and her work. I always leave 100% satisfied and get compliments that make me feel as amazing as she makes me look. I book with her early and often!!

SO GOOD!! Jonathan did my hair and my girls also had makeup done. They timed it out perfectly (whew), and my hair stayed in place all night. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. Thank you guys!!!!

Where do I even start? Getting my hair and makeup done by Jonathan and Cara was like a fairy tale come to life! ✨ From the moment I walked into their salon, I knew I was in for a treat.
Jonathan is a hair wizard He took my hair from drab to fab in no time! I swear, he has a sixth sense for knowing exactly what style suits you best. My hair was bouncy, shiny, and styled to perfection (clearly I need him to come do my hair weekly)

I would 1000% recommend working with Kacie and her team. From my trial to my wedding day, Kacie made me feel so comfortable and confident. I don’t typically wear make-up, and have only worn heavy make (foundation, ect) maybe a handful of times my whole life, so I was nervous that I was going to feel like a clown with that much make up on. When I looked in the mirror, I was speechless and for the first time actually felt like myself and so beautiful with a full face of makeup. On top of all that, my makeup and hair lasted all day and night of my wedding still looking 100% at the end of the day! Kacie could not have been more kind and amazing to me and all of my bridesmaids. I am forever grateful to her and her team for making me feel like the most beautiful bride.

Brie did my hair for my son’s wedding as well as most of the quite large bridal party. Everyone looked amazing. My hair is extremely, extremely thick, and very long. It is a lot to handle, but Brie knew exactly what I wanted and executed my desired look to perfection. My hair stayed in place and on an extremely long and windy day. Brie was efficient, professional, and very fun. Very highly recommend. ♥️

Happy with our service and so easy to work with. After our consultation, they did a fantastic job, but I still felt like it wasn't the exact look I was going for. I communicated what I wanted to change and come wedding day Deborah killed it!!! I was so happy with the final result. Touchable hair that stayed put, light makeup, but really highlighted fun purple elements I wanted to capture. My bridesmaids and my mother all looked stunning! and most importantly, we all felt like ourselves. Their team is kind and attentive. Hiring them means one less thing to worry about.

I worked with Britney for my hair and makeup on my wedding day and I couldn't be happier! I felt like she really listened to me, made some adjustments I requested during my trial, and I loved the way both hair and makeup turned out. The other team members I spoke with prior to the day were really helpful and communicated everything clearly. No complaints - I'm very happy I went with them!

Lashes & Lace as well as Haberdash was an excellent choice for my wedding! Myself, bridesmaids and mom's got ready at Lashes and Lace with Brianna and Brittany and the grooms side got ready across the hall at Haberdash! The food and location was excellent and it provided the perfect space! Everyone looked amazing- would definitely recommend to future brides!

We had a great experience using Lashes&Lace for our wedding day hair and makeup! I had a makeup trial with Stephanie before the wedding, who is incredible at what she does and made the whole experience so much fun. She worked with me to nail down a final look that I loved and looked best on me. She and Sarah came and did onsite hair and makeup for my bridesmaids on the morning of. They were on time, professional, did a great job of keeping us on time without being pushy, AND made us all look like movie stars by the end of it! My hair and makeup stayed in place all night, even with a mid-ceremony snafu of the ceremonial crown getting stuck in my hair! Thanks for everything Stephanie and Sarah!!

Kacie did my hair and make up for engagement photos and for my wedding and she killed both. She listened to me, made me feel gorgeous and I looked amazing in pictures. My make up did not feel heavy and my hair style felt secure all day! Not to mention my hair and make up stayed all day and never got on my dress! For engagement sesh day we did a trial of hair and make up and she let me try two styles to see which one I liked more for my wedding coming up and did not make me feel as if I was being a bother. Stacey did my moms, grandmas and my aunts hair and make up and they all felt so beautiful on my big day which was very important as well! They were so happy with everything and we can’t thank these two enough. Emma was our Attendant at Lashes and Lace, she fed us, made us laugh, and shared her own stories. She was pretty much apart of the bridal party when we left. She helped me out so much by gathering all my things before the photographer came, hosting and just being an all around best girly pop I could need that day. My group still raves about these girls and how much they impacted our days!! I also rented out the haberdash for the guys and the attendant over there was just as amazing. She got everyone moving and ready for the wedding, and even went above and beyond for my fiancé and I. HUGE shoutout to her. Overall this was such a fun part of our day I highly recommended it!! The atmosphere, food, and people can not be beat! ?
