Not only this year were my taxes filed wildly incorrectly ... while fixing the 2023 taxes it was discovered my 2022 taxes were ALSO filed wrong... (Jeffery Koob is person who filed them incorrectly both years.)
This has added so much stress to my life and the response time from the HR block has not been good at all. I feel helpless and beyond lost on what they are even doing anymore. (numerous calls and emails not responded to - "everyone is off for the season"
Not to mention my price for filing these was doubled for no reason this year ( $250- $450?!)- refunded this years $450 clearly due to error however - no logical reason for this at all.. No customer transparency at all.... I feel scammed.
I fear this will continue to be a nightmare for many more weeks.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS...

Michael Painter at the H&R Block Mount Pleasant location was a consummate professional and had a fast knowledge of tax and everything under that umbrella.
He was very kind thorough and patient with me and my questions. I will certainly be using him and only him for my future tax returns
I would certainly not pay $1,000 to go to a high-end CPA firm when you can get a higher service for a lower price and understand it's more of a human connection doing it at H&R Block

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT deal with the Mt pleasant H&R block offices. I called one office number and spoke with a representative. I downloaded all my 2023 paperwork and my 2022 tax return as my 2023 tax return was going to be nearly identical. Was given a price. I called the same number back a few days later to schedule an appointment and was somehow speaking to the other Mt pleasant office. I also wanted to confirm pricing before coming in, but now was given a higher price. I called a few days later to ask about the price discrepancy. It took 30 minutes and I finally get another "tax professional" on the line who then quoted an even higher price. All had the same documents to price from. Wow.

I recommend all of my friends and family to H&R Block honestly I give them a five-star review I won't go anywhere else to file my taxes they're professional friendly staff works they covered everything from a to z i mean they're amazing I'll give them a 10 out of 10 I've been to three other agencies and H&R Block is the best I won't go anywhere else ever again I found my text representatives for life at H&R Block

I brought my documents in two weeks ago. Never got a call back after many requests for a return call.It's 15 minutes to deadline. I'm now told the man quit and they can't find my papers.

First of all, I want to point out how spectacular the customer service was over the phone before I stepped foot into the building. Every person I spoke to was awesome and accommodating. When I arrived, Jeff (the tax expert) was amazing. I am young and just started my first full time job, so I needed a lot of help/ had many questions. Knowing this, Jeff answered every question I had, was patient, and, using his experience/ expertise, took the extra time to be sure I was getting the best possible refund. He also explained to me each step of what he was doing so I did not feel in the dark. I definitely will be recommending him (and H&R Block in general) to my friends. Thanks!

I used to H&R block for years before I moved to SC this year and It was perfect. This year was my first time in the Mount pleasant office , The accountant kept chatting on and on, I was following what he puts on the screen he was making errors that i caught and I corrected multiple times. I wasn't happy at all. The service was expensive and there was inaccuracies in the taxes. Not going back again

Never use this company. No one gets back you, i was left waiting in the office for 1.5 hours and had an appointment. I walked out, it was during my work day. Tried to set up a virtual call, no one turned up. No one answered my questions ended up having to submit my return the night before the deadline. No idea if it is correct. They sent me a survey, I gave them one star, Kimberly emailed me to ask why I had given negative feedback, then said she would call me. She still hasn't called and I have followed up via email. I would lose my job if I didn't answer emails.
