We have been with freedom for about 3 years. I have been on the any of the boats on average from 4 to 8 times per month. Their reservation system work pretty well however, where you can capitalize is the spur of the moment reservations during the week! On very few occasions we've had an issue with the bottom not being the cleanest causing additional fuel burn/slower speeds. However, I love the new staff, new management, and all the new boats to the fleet. Fishing, Diving, Tubing, Beach Cruising

This is our second boat club and by far, it's been an exceptional experience. The club went through some new ownership and management a couple years ago and the change has been all for the better. Super responsive staff, communicative, helpful and always friendly. The value is there for sure...I couldn't own a boat AND a slip for even half the cost. The club always has an option for me, and if I plan ahead, I can get the specific boat I'd like every time. They've added so many new boats over the past year as well as locations downtown at City dock and up the Ashley river. Whether we want a small center console for fishing the creeks or a pontoon for family exploring or an offshore to hit the jetties or a deck boat for some tubing...each experience is awesome. Seriously, the locations, number of boats, choices of boats, and staff make this the only club I'd consider joining in the area.

The staff, the boats and the entire operation were fantastic. We reserved a boat under our reciprocal membership option while visiting Charleston. The staff took the time to orient us to the local waters and recommended places to go. The boats were very clean and well maintained. When we returned to the dock the staff were again extremely helpful and attentive. We are looking forward to a return visit.

I love the vibe here. Nobody is too good to say hey, it’s exactly the kind of southern hospitality you would expect in Charleston, South Carolina. Highly recommend using these guys as your primary boat club.

Another great experience with Freedom Boat Club. We are members in Chicago and we’re visiting Charleston. Not only were we able to reserve a boat - included in our membership - but the Mt. Pleasant staff was amazing. They provided us a detailed map and recommended route and eve let one of the kids borrow a fishing pole. Great service and an incredible experience for the family.This is our second experience at a “reciprocal” facility and the membership is worth every dollar. The training is great so lake or ocean, you are prepared. The service is fantastic so all you need to worry about is fun. And the experience is perfect for boat lovers who don’t want the hassles of boat ownership.Thanks to Max and his team!

New(ish) member to Freedom Boat Club and my home club is Lake Hartwell so I was visiting this club (Mt Pleasant) for the first time - this first time happened to be 4th of July weekend! Anyone that boats knows this weekend is probably the busiest on the water. We arrived Thursday morning, no reservation on the books we called the dock line and were given a boat Friday. Saturday, no reservation on the books, we decided to go out again and we did, no problem! Sunday July 4th, we had a reservation however it ended at 1pm. The dock hands knew my family & I really wanted to have a boat for the full day. When we arrived to turn in our boat at 1pm, the main dock hand said “hey we have another boat for you if you want to go back out” This made our 4th of July!!! The dock hand that made this happen, he made it happen for us all 3 days! So sorry I’m terrible with names, but you along with Trip and the guy that watched the fireworks with us, are AWESOME at what you do! You guys get customer service and what it means to take care of paying members. It’s not cheap to be a member but absolutely worth it! Mt Pleasant Club....THANK YOU! See y’all soon!

My wife and I (and our pup) have been members for a little over a month. We go out 3 or 4 times a week. We are able to get a boat any time during the week and by booking a few days in advance on the weekends. We are able to quickly hop on and off and boats are always clean. The guys at the dock are always super helpful and very friendly. They really make us feel welcome and are especially great with our dog, Thor. Our only regret about joining is that we didn't do it years ago. If you're considering joining I highly recommend it, we feel that is has been very well worth the investment!

Freedom Boat Boat has been one of the best decisions we have made in our island experiences. No maintenance, simply get in the boat, take off and fill the tank when you return. Great selection of boats, great service and peace of mind.
