“I bank with Wells Fargo currently, however, my experience with the manager of this bank while trying to get a hold off of a check that I desperately needed to go through. Not once did I reach the branch location of the Wells Fargo I was attempting to call (mind you the two banks are a stones throw away) but when I first called Pinnacle I was given the manger's personal office number right away and treated as well as if I was a customer of theirs. He made me feel better about my situation which was an instant fix on his behalf. Took him maybe ten minutes to sort it out and call me right back. On the other hand I was passed from complaint line to an actual escalated complaint line (didn't know that existed) and put on hold numerous times as they talked to a "team" and just generally treated like an account number and not a person struggling to keep my bills payed with my shifts cut in half. If you read this please note that being able to contact the people that handle your money is more important than having a bank on every corner. I'll be switching banks as soon as I possibly can.”

“I recently moved across the country but still have a business in South Carolina. I needed to get my 2022 statements and was not banking online, so I didn’t have access to the statement electronically. After reaching out to customer care and fixing an e-mail issue that I didn’t even know I had, I was able to get the statements emailed to me very quickly. I’ve been banking with First Reliance for almost 20 years. I love banking with a local bank. You never seem to get lost in the crowd like you do with the large banks. I needed to conduct banking business with the shared branch CU from where I just moved from (Carbondale, IL, for you people if you're following me [it's apparently an internet thing]) and Charlie totally nailed it! Ian spearheaded the sudden predicament dropped in his lap and he chose to go above and well beyond his duties. His personal touch and relentless determination for a positive outcome yielded more than exceptional results. Ian’s thorough communication during the entire process was clear and well spoken. For three hours, Ian did not give up one bit. His years of expertise and wisdom leads him, only second to his personality and likeness. “Awesome team and assistance,Well here we are with the changes! Sufficient balance in the savings account with a minimum in the checking account. I have my savings linked to my checking in case I spend more in my checking. So now the rules are if I spend more in my checking than available they will pull from my savings to cover as agreed. However, now I get charged $5.00 for every transaction where my savings is covering my checking. Even when I transfer the money myself from savings to checking they charge me $5.00 to move my own money. I had called and spoken with the management about this and they said it is a federal law that only allows so many transfers per month! I have been an honest and positive customer of this credit union for approximately 14 years. I have recently transferred to another state and I continue to bank with SCFCU because they are such a great place! I recanted my earlier review from a low score to now a high score! The manager at SCFCU reached out to me and was very concerned that I had concerns about my banking experience. She explained that the banks hands were tied on the federal regulations and allowing only 4 transfers per month; she was also understanding and wish she could change the regulations. I appreciated her reaching out which is why I’m changing this review to a positive 5 star! I also wanted to say that I had forgotten what a great bank SCFCU is! I’ll stay with them for as long as they will service my needs!”

I've observed them deal professionally with difficult customers, drunks and stoners. Some folks don't get that if you write bad checks you gotta pay and if you're over your limit your card is turned off. Eileen Thames is a true asset to the organization.”
