The con artists of medicine. Avoid at all costs:They don’t answer their phones, ever. They violate no surprise billing daily. Report them if you have been affected. They have billed me for thousands when they didn’t file with my insurance.

Hospital visits are rarely pleasant except for expectant parents. In our case my wife selected East Cooper to undergo knee replacement. We have nothing but the highest praise for the treatment she received from everyone we encountered. That includes reception, security, even cafe staff. Special thanks to the 4th floor nurses , PA and therapists who were so diligent and caring post op. Compassionate , responsive, professional. At one point my wife suffered a post op crisis that was handled by an incredible emergency response team . We are both extremely grateful to a highly trained group of medical professionals.

Nursing staff, PT OT and volunteers were kind, attentive and very attuned to my husband’s needs after back surgery. Room was comfortable. Highly recommend ❤️

On the day of I was inappropriately accosted abused and tormented by a male staffer nurse named Allen. I reported the incident to the hospital and they essentially defended the employee. The person was not only disturbingly rude but he took advantage of the situation and disrespectfully copped a grope and then totally left the room while pretending nothing happened. The shock I experienced was nothing short of alarming hideous and inconceivable. I unequivocally do not recommend this hospital in no shape form or fashion.

My experience was wonderful from start to finish. I was immediately taken to a bed by the sweetest nurse, Autumn. Hannah the other nurse that took over was also so kind. Dr. Olson came in and explained everything so informatively and kindly. I felt so well taken care of. I have nothing but accolades to give this establishment!!! As a fellow woman in the medical industry, this was so refreshing to get the privilege of those nurses and doctor(s) working on me and my test results. 100 stars!!

Checking in was horrible. The admitting staff was lacking, to say the least. I was already nervous about having an operation done, and there was a lack of any kind of compassion or concern. I would've been understanding if they were overwhelmed, but it was just me and my wife, no one else . I was close to leaving, not sure what to expect after we had gotten through admittance. Went to the second floor, and the volunteers there were so friendly and nice they immediately put me at ease. The doctors and nurses were great professionals at their best. A far cry from my first encounter at the admittance on the first floor. Maybe you should have the volunteers train your paid admittance staff on care and compassion when dealing with people being admitted into your hospital.

We went after my daughter had broken her leg on the beach. The staff was very friendly. The ER was extremely clean. Dr. Moore was extremely thorough and had awesome bedside manner. He explained everything and went above and beyond to to ease our situation. I knew my daughter was in great hands!

I am only giving a two star because the nurse and doctor that we saw was amazing. This negative review is based on our ER waiting room experience and the staff that checked us in. We brought our 10 year old daughter into the ER last night. She was crying with her ear, jaw and neck. We checked in and waited an hour and a half with others less sick or in pain going ahead of us. When I politely asked the woman behind the desk how much longer and expressed my concern for my daughter, as she never cries, the woman wouldn’t even make eye contact with me and told me she didn’t know. She told me that she would ask a nurse when a nurse passed through again, with an attitude. We waited another 20 after that. I get that they deal with a lot of stuff working in that position but it was very obvious that she had an issue with us or just didn’t care about people anymore. She shouldn’t be in this position if she doesn’t care anymore. If a situation ever happens again that my daughter needs medical help, I will not take her to East Cooper again.

I wouldnt bring my dog to this hospital. It is a clown show. They need to drug test their nurses. No one knows whats going on, everyone says something different. My 79 yr old mother is here with covid and has received the poorest most unprofessional care I've ever seen. They let her lay in a wet bed for ever then when they finally came in to change the sheets they were jerking her around like a rag doll.Thry di not pass along critical information from one nurse to the next and subsequently put the patient in danger.

All Nurses and Staff could not have been more professional helpful friendly and kind. I asked for a after dinner snack before bed time like every other Hospital I was a patient at. I was told they do not do that here. One of my nurses did get me a popsicle some how and paid for it herself. Please please put that practice in to motion Thanks Ken Laukhuff

I am so upset with the “care” that I received tonight after slicing my finger on a mandolin while slicing vegetables. The triage nurse was very nice, but once she gets me in a room, I can here the nurses at the nurse station laughing about “why didn’t she use the guard?” “She sliced her finger on a veggie slicer?!” Then the doctor comes in, takes a look at it and then used such force to “apply pressure” that I started crying. Nothing for pain or numbing was given. She wrapped my finger and then left the room saying “she’ll check back in a few minutes.” I waited 45 minutes before getting up and leaving. Within those 45 minutes of waiting, I heard the nurse in the next room tell the patient “if you have something serious happen, don’t come here” I am just appalled at the bedside manner and care that I received tonight.

Don’t ever have a baby here. Labor & delivery care was great. Mom/baby care was awful: didn’t bring me anything to eat for 18hr after I delivered, food that I did get was not edible, I had to ask every time for pain medication and then wait at least 1 hour even though pain medication was overdue, and we have been dealing with inaccurate billing for 3 months without resolution. Next time I will gladly drive farther to the Roper hospital to avoid setting foot in ECMC ever again.

I've been to east cooper for every emergency visit and x ray scans and mri scans. Best staff. Wonderful doctors and nurses. I've had amazing doctors and nurses here. I sprained my fingers really bad one time went to get an x ray and make sure I didnt break them and both the doctor and nurse were really attentive and made sure I was comfortable. Thank you all for everything yall do for us.
