Terri Baldwin with CHD could not have been any more fabulous to work with when decorating our new home. Terri always considered budget and my style when presenting items. I was able to give full input and assist in selecting all materials. I could not recommend Terri enough to anyone looking to decorate a space.

Terri Baldwin is a talented interior designer! I have worked with her on entire rooms and also smaller projects, e.g., custom pillows and furniture pieces. She is a complete pleasure to work with and incredibly creative and sharp. Her design assistants have also been consistently responsive and professional. I highly recommend CHD Interiors!

I love CHD. I had been going to the one in Murrells Inlet for years before I realized they had a Mt. Pleasant location. They have everything you need, from design services to home accessories, plus their staff is wonderful. I highly recommend checking them out.

Every time someone needs design I send them to Gabrielle. When you hire a designer, you need a perfectionist and she is it. The amount of detail, knowledge and experience that goes into every detail big and small is unmatched. She sees the whole picture and takes each clients desires and seamlessly transitions them into reality.With CHDs backend support and install team there is literally no better experience I can ensure any client I send her way will have. From coastal contemporary 2nd beach homes to modern Downtown Charleston pads to traditional family estates, I’ve seen her do it all. If you don't want to end up feeling angry, used and misunderstood, avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere for the following reasons:1) Not caring about your goals/budget:Not caring about their smaller clients at all. At first, my husband and I told the designer our budget and she gave us a design plan which was 5x more expensive without any alternative options. Apparently, we were supposed to treat it as tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 plan which would take us years to accomplish. Would you want to pay $5,000 for custom curtains in your living room or $3000 for custom fabric on your sofa pillows? I don't think so.2) Unresponsive & non-existent customer serviceNo periodic check-ins with exception of them calling you to pay for another invoice. We had to keep sending them emails asking for things like: ETA on delivery of our items as they kept changing, breakdown of our actual costs, invoice explanation, confusion around pricing, CHD's billing cycles logic etc. I even had one of their leading designers (the one we worked with) hang up on me during a call and tried to lecture me on furniture business and shipping times. We didn't like her attitude towards us, customers, who are paying for this service and felt disrespected.We also noticed that once we committed to the design, we were handed off to their assistant for everything from billing to questions to delivery scheduling. This company has no dedicated /trained customer service team.3) Transparency with billing, pricing and shipping of items is non-existentOne of the worst experiences buying furniture for my home.This place makes the entire process of ordering and receiving furniture not transparent at all.You won't know the brand of your design items, as they give you a generic Word document / list of items to stare at with associated pricing (no digital links where you can track your items cost, description, color, shipment date etc). You also won't know the furniture's dimensions, warranty, or return policy. We even caught a mistake in their pricing (overpriced), which had to be re-done by their assistant. Our sofa took 4 months to deliver, while the rest of the items were sitting in their warehouse for weeks.Did I even mention how frustrating their billing cycle is? You can't even pay for everything upfront, but have to issue multiple payments to them as the time goes by. If you pay with card, ask them to waive the 3% fee since you don't want to have to drive to Mount Pleasant every other week during work hours just to pay for this nonsense.4) Delivery experienceWe were the ones who had to reach out to CHD about the time and date of delivery, which did not work with CHD's delivery schedule (shocker) as they prioritized their larger "downtown" client over us. There was absolutely zero proactiveness in their approach. Matter of fact, this company only uses 1 truck for deliveries to Charleston area on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which you have to pay hundreds of dollars for! On the day of delivery, we had two nice guys come in and drop our stuff in our room, nothing special. Our lamp was missing lightbulb and the crew didn't have an extension cord for us, which they were supposed to tape /install underneath our carpet.5) RETURN POLICY - BEWARE!!Ordered your expensive item and it does not fit, the color is off or it's too small? Guess what, you won't be able to return it! Before you sign any contract with this group, read their return policy. It is very vague and makes them the sole decision maker when it comes to returns.Overall, I would not recommend this place for all of the above reasons. If you are lucky enough to work with a designer, choose the person who you can trust and receive respect from. It should not matter how large your home is, where it's located or how small / big your budget is. At the end of the day, this should be fun, creative and unforgettable experience for you and your family!Service: Living room design

Be careful! They do not deliver what they promise. Underhanded thieves. End product leaves much to be desired. Very limited talent and no business acumen. I have never been treated so badly by a business.

CHD Interiors is one of the better upscale high quality design houses located in Mount Pleasant. Recently, I had to refurnish my living and dining area [having moved from metro Atlanta and needing to transition to the "Lowcountry" style]. I visited ALL of the local furniture stores and finally decided on CHD. As soon as I walked into their Showroom, I was greeted warmly and told that a designer would be on the way. As I strolled through the Gallery looking at the items on the floor, I knew I had selected the right place. Mary Kate and Kara were assigned to me and this Design Team was able to pull together a presentation/vision for me in a few days. They worked through every aspect of the planning and implementation with me checking to ensure that I was on board through email, text and by phone. As a Type A person, I enjoyed teaming with these women!! These ladies are professional, detail oriented, and extremely customer focused. When we did encounter a road bump with the dining room chair fabric length, they were able to mitigate the risks with the vendor, come up with a new game plan, and ensure that I was always in the communication loop. I will not hesitate to call on CHD again when I need more home furnishings. Well done Ladies!
